Hi People been new here....... been lurking for months now ever since the purchase of my 09 E92 335i. Finding a lot of really good info on here although sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming. My car is mildly modified with a JB4 and BMW PE running on map 1. Looking into adding DP's so my question is does my JB4 (purchased when I bought the car) have what is known as a DP fix incorporated into it or do I have to purchase one separately? Tried searching for the info with no definite answer. I know one is an necessity in order to pass emissions. Thanks your help is much appreciated

Correct me if im wrong but i believe the dp fix is used to trick the computer into emission readiness. What the JB4 does is that it clears the check engine light that pops up when you have dps. You cant run the dp fix all the time as it causes your car to run lean.

JB4 just has the auto-clear which does nothing for emissions readiness. If you have OBDII testing you will need the DP Fix. I recently moved to a new state with emissions testing and had to install one; not too difficult, just follow the directions. The one from VRSF worked well.

Jb4 does not auto clear the downpipe code, you can manually delete the code every time it pops up but it will not do it automatically for you
