2 positions on cruise control pull?
I noticed there is a soft input to set cruise on my 09 328i and a click position on the same pull for the cruise. Does anyone have an idea if there is truly a difference between the two?
I know on the soft pull I can back off 1 mph per pull or work a hold pull and shed several. a Soft pull also sets my cruise and it takes over. Push speeds up 1 mph per push or several mph if it is a hold push. Button being resume, stalk down or up turns off the cruise.

Really? I will give it a go on the way home tonight. I didn't notice, but was there a click position on the push side, to accelerate 5 mph?

I have a 2011 335i, and the soft push/pull will go up/down in 1MPH increments. But if I full push/pull (to the "click"), it will go up/down to the 5MPH mark.
Example, if I'm at 62MPH, and I push to the click, it will go up to 65MPH, then next push to the click, it will go up to 70MPH. Likewise for the pull to click: if I'm at 62MPH, and I pull to the click, it will drop to 60MPH. At least, that's how it works in my 335i...
