Technik's Stage 2 (330) +37HP

Technik's Website
"Our BMW E90 330 Stage 2 powerkit consists of a carbon fiber ram-air intake system, SS304 tubular headers and matched performance software."

Specifications

Part # E90-P-60015
Year 2006 - 2007
Make BMW
Model 330
Retail Price $2795
Engine L6-3.0L (N52)
Power Level Stage 2
HP Gain +37

Anyone with any info regarding technik's stage 2 upgrade on their 330? Considering getting this installed. Wondering if it's any good.

i heard there still working on a chip
intake is just gruppe m
and headers are supersprint

headers are kinda not needed for e90, just buy the rep gruppe m on ebay
then buy the chip when they release... = a much cheaper solution

just the intake itself should add a gain of about +10-15 horses, and you go no where near spending 3k

they do....
for 325 the stage 2 technik ket is 44+hp, but its really not worth the money
if ur gonna be spending couple o grands on power, just wait for sc or sumtn
best bet for hp for money ratio

dont know the exact gain on that specific product, but on average i would say a cold air intake should add about 10-15hp when cold.

you must be high
an intake will get you at the best 5hp, more likely to be 1-2hp

last intake i ever installed in any of my cars was in a VR6, id say i lost about 5horses when the engine was hot.
My figure might be a little high, I had big block american V8's in mind with a gain in those numbers.

Pass that crack pipe.

An intake on an N52 may look good but you will not get any appreciable hp gains.

I would like to see what a good ECU tune could do. I would imagine it would realize most of the gains from cam timing/lift.

from what i heard, the intake from BMW is already one of the best out there and you could lose HP when installing a new intake (AFE, fujita the most you will gain is probalby 5-7 hp and a new sound

haha, the AFE doesn't lose hp

it's already been discussed about....

the reason for the lost of power is because there's excessive oil in the oil filter when it's new, and people tend to install them before they dry the oil from the filter....then the oil leaks into the MAF sensors, and screws it up...

it happens to the AFE becuase of the cone shaped design the air filter uses....

Don't buy intakes for performance because you won't get anything out of it. Maybe 5hp the most and thats pushing it.

he aint high, most cars generally gain that much power with an intake, even more. A g35 gets ~9-10 whp freed up when it simply swaps its intake tube for a 350z tube. and it only costs $80 to do the mod. And tahts just an example. Many cars get noticable gains, why would u make such a comment that intakes dont help performance??

The gruppe-m gives 8-10 whp gains, ksfrogman has dyno proven this. how do people not know this already?

7.5hp/5.5whp actually for techniks and 5.5hp/7.5whp for mike's. #s are relatively in the same area.

because in general, they don't
gruppe M is the only one proven to yield some gain on the E90, and as esbezee92 pointed out, the max hp on frogman's car was increased by 5.5whp.

AFE? Fujita? Simota? Do they offer similar gains? I think not. You can prove me wrong.
