E93 Wheel Spacers

Hi all,

I'm looking for some wheels spacers for my E93 because the rear wheels just sit too far in for my liking, a RWD car should always look 'fatter' at the rear IMO .

I'm currently destroying my bank balance by moving house, paying for holidays and upgrading this machine ready to try COBB's Stage 1+ so a set of fatter wheels is out of the question sadly at the moment, spacers should be a good interim measure though. My question is, what size can I get away with? The car is currently on MV3's and I am torn between 12mm, 13mm or 15mm. It's likely that I will lower the car at some point so I don't want rubbing at all.

I'm looking at these, feedback seems to be very good - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-13MM-H...item27c2821e5e

Thanks

I'd offer to help but the only thing I know is that the offset is different between the E90/1 and the E92/3 - the 15mm spacers on my E91 may not work so well on yours.

Hope someone comes along who knows what they're talking about

The MV3 on the rears is an 8.5J with an offset of ET37.
The '225' wheel is a 9J with an offset of ET39.

I've had 12mm spacers on the rear of my E92 with the '225' wheel & standard sized tyres (255/30/19), and they did rub when hitting undulating road surfaces and with passengers.

What size tyres are you running?

A 13mm spacer on a 8.5J rim should work,it will give the wheel an offset of ET24,but you have a narrower wheel width of 8.5J.

I've got a variety of spacers knocking about with some extended nuts,I'll have a look and let you know what I've got.

You can have a play around to make sure you get it right

Thanks very much for the replies both of you .

Hotcoupe, that would be fantastic if you wouldn't mind at all, definitely worth a drink . I have the standard RFT's all round, 255/35/18 (255/30/18 if I am wrong, but one of the two).

I look forward to hearing from you .

I'm far from an expert on 18" wheels, but those sizes ALL round seem weird.
I would have thought the front tyres would be a different size (225/40's) to the rears?

Anyway,no matter,I have 2 x 15mm,2 x 12mm & 2 x 10mm spacers, all hubcentric.
So the differing spacer sizes will give you the opportunity to decide what works and what doesn't.

I need to sort out the longer wheel bolts which I can't do until I get the car back next week from the dealers.

I'll give you a shout by PM when I've got the stuff all together

Noooo, I was only talking rear tyre sizes . I have 255/35/18 on the rear, 225/40/18 on the front, just the OE sizes.

That would be great, I'm in no rush so PM me when it suits you. Thanks so much!

Cheers Mike, any reason you decided to push the front out further than the rear? Looking at my car I'd say that the MV3 sits further out at the front than the rear, maybe this is different on your MV4's?

Not possible jam jay, all E9x have wider rear track than front.

All E9x share the same wheel offsets where the same wheel is fitted.

I.e MV3's are the same wheel/width/offset on all E9x regardless of saloon or coup etc, its just that 19" wheels have never been an order option on E90/1.

Arch clearances vary between E90/1 and E92/3 a little.

Remember LCI E90/1 are 24mm wider than non LCI so you'll struggle with 12mm on those cars.

I need your advice. My car is 07 (I assume it is non-LCI) E93 330 with OEM 18" wheels (two size tyre I remember sth like 225 and 245 for front and rear, I am not sure).
I do need the car to have sharper look, which spacers do you recommend?

Decide what look you want, then simply measure and you'll know which spacers you need...

Waiting for my Bola B15's to arrive 8.5x18 et32 fitted with 225's squared setup.

What spacer sizes do you recommend on an e90 lci, looking for the flush look.

more than likely 18x8 et34 front and 18x8.5 et37 rear. Is it defo a 245 40 18 rear and not a 255 35 18?
