My belt shredded and I was going to put on a new one with new pulleys etc. Then I found this. I did take it off the mount, but the line was rubbing on my pulley. I’m wondering how this is supposed to be routed. The second bracket that’s by the pulley is not connected to anything as well.

I do not know exactly what car are you driving (only reference in bio), but the best way will be to check photos on realoem or if you have with TIS or even with other photos on the web.
