All joking aside. Did you manage to match the code to any of those found by James?

Maybe I'm stupid, but did you try using the Find function of your browser to identify the code?

It's a shame you got an error code, I was really looking forward to reading new stories about your driving adventures with a remapped car..

Sorry to hear you did not get mapped today. I am sure you will get it sorted soon. Good luck at the dealer - they will sort it no probs and ask for an M5 loaner while its in.

Are you going to tell the dealer you are getting remapped? as they may wonder how you know the engine has a fault code.

Just hope they take a proper look and don't just palm you off - It's alright sir kind of thing..... this is not uncommon.

You kind of want a print off afterwards to show it's clear as it would be a shame to not get it sorted.

You can always take James error list with you.

You could always complain that the throttle seems to be permanently stuck open! They would find it hard to find a witness to disprove it.

Or everytime I drive the traction control light flashes. I am sure it's something wrong with the engine as I don't drive fast.

How about... "My friend owns a small garage and was showing me his OBD2 kit. After showing me some cars in the garage he hooked mine up and I was shocked to see it came up with an error code."

Probably not best to go with. "My friend was getting a remap and I was along to watch. The guy put the diagnostic kit on my car for fun and it came back with an error."

That's one hell of a list of fault codes - looks like the "Germans" have written way too much code for the ECU - maybe they haven't fully tested it - hence why there are so many bugs
