2011 335i left rear backup light out but need HELP

bulb good, bought new ones also and all work on the right side. anyway. i am not getting volts to the light socket on left side and also I DON'T have a broken wire anywhere from light socket to under rear deck by back seat. I used a ohm meter and everything good till at least the back seat to the light socket so my problem is up stream... The wire color is purple/black but i dont know where it goes from behind the back seat to the front of the car. Also is there a fuse just for the left backup light and if so what number fuse should i pull to check???? Any help great

no. I have a good scanning tool but not sure it will read bmw codes but it should. i will try that and post results

HOW WILL i KNOW WHAT PIN IS 47 ON THAT BOX? i WILL PULL THE KICK PANEL OFF TOMORROW AND SEE IF i CAN FIND THAT PIN. i THINK WE ARE ON TO SOMETHING. MY STEERING WHEEL WAS SQUEAKING AND I POPPED OFF RUBBER BOOT UNDER DASH AND SPRAYED U JOINT WITH SOME PB BLASTER AND GRAPHITE LUBE. SQUEAK GONE BUT NOW ISSUE WITH LEFT BACKUP LIGHT. i WILL SEE IF SOME SPRAY GOT INTO THAT AREA AND CLEAN IT OFF.. IT THERE A GOOD WAY TO CLEAN IT OFF????

ALSO HAVE E147 CODE COMBOX EMERGENCY CALL BODY CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK LINE FAULT

OK what programs / cables do I need to buy to be able to do this? Is there something I download? I'm. Lost. What should I buy and download to do this?
Wire good to the box to back of car just that box not sending out 12 volts as it should to power bulb.. This must be some stupid fail safe mode it goes into and seems like a stupid process to reset the thing.. Any idea how much a dealer would charge to do this? They get 169. To dx it idk if that includes resetting it... I'm sure I can do it if I know what to buy and download.

I would suggest "FIXING" the cause of the issue, which is likely a BROKEN Black/Violet wire between FRM & E80 on the Left Trunk Lid. Wires frequently BREAK at the hinge plane.

no wire is in tact from tail light to module in left floor. i already checked all that. I need to know what to download and what cable to buy to connect my laptop at this point

bimmergeeks.net: buy the K+DCAN cable and download the standard tools.
If the reset is through Tool32, not NCS Expert, then my bad above. I get those names mixed up.

ok, dealer reset it for me..... Now, I tried to download the thing from beemergeek and I cant even open the zip file... Is there a different place to download something else? Or how can i unzip the files and be able to open them?????? I never had this issue with zip files but with this I did. I want to be able to do this at home. I also ordered the cable from beemerfest
