Put my summer tires on. Put stage 2+ back on & put xHp stage 2 v3.0 on.
Took her for a spin. I know you have to drive it 50 miles before the TCU finally Adapts. So, I didn't push it really hard. However, I did push her up to 5000 rpms once all the fluids got nice and warm. I always put the car at stage 0 for the winter months & run snow tires till April 1. Car seems smooth as silk with new 3.0 version of Xhp. I won't know until I get 50 miles in so I ca really push it and get a log or two. |

No. I stripped them with a wire brush on my angle grinder, talk about dusty! Then used a 2 part epoxy based caliper paint. It instructs no primer or clear.

I used G2 paint. I did the same process. However, we use salt on the roads in Michigan. So, I plan on getting my calipers media blasted down to the metal & applying a heat resistant, primer/ rust inhibitor. Then I'll apply G2 paint & a heat resistant clear coat. I could send them out to get powder coated, but I'm Leary about installing new piston, boot gaskets. I had a buddy that re-did them on an e46 & they popped out while driving and ruined the calipers, which cost $$$$ The metal ring in the boot never, really went around correctly and stayed. |

This was taken on Thursday. Moved to Indiana from Miami and unfortunately left the e90 at my moms house. However, soon I’ll fly back down to Miami and grab the 335. Will be under a car cover till I’m reunited with it.

I've used duplicolor engine enamel (ford grey) and metalcast (red) to make them blood red to match my smoked tail lights. Never been a fan of bright caliper paint on anything less than a BBK

I got the lenses today. I will be making a post on my thread about how my dad and I removed the original lens. The Chinese ones seem spot on. I did a "test fit" and everything will line up once I clean up the residue from the old seal. It is definitely worth the wait. Here is the link. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000205000456.html Here's a mock-up photo with protective film still on.

sweet.
$40 in shipping seems excessive, but $80 all in is still way better than $300 a pop. I'll get my own ordered. gonna be nice having new lenses. Did they appear to have UV coating on them, or do you think they should be cleared over? |

Thanks. The regimen was:
- Medium clay bar with Meguiar's detailing spray (Some generic brand from Amazon, worked great and came with a case + a microfiber) - Chemical Guys VSS Scratch and Swirl remover - Green Hex Logic pad on a DA polisher - Chemical Guys Wipe Out Surface Cleanser Spray - Two layers of Chemical Guys Jet Seal 12 hrs apart - Adam's Tire Shine Took about 7 hours. Tomorrow I'll apply Butter Wet Wax as a final top coat and then apply it during drying everh other wash since it can be appled while the car is wet. |
