There seem to be two reasons for this type of nasty thread. One is business competition via derogation/sabotage. The other is more complex, and appears to involve self-esteem: "I bought product X, rather than product Y -- therefore product X must be better because I'm smart and anyone that bought product Y is a fool."

I like science, because ideally it involves objective evaluation without getting personal (of course scientists scrap like anyone else, but the method is nonetheless a great one; when was the last time you flew an airplane designed by opinions or faith...).

I have been patiently sitting on the fence, closely watching the piggyback/flash evolution. My hope is that BMW performance will release a flash that will be fun enough to satisfy my ambitions for my 335. The Dinan tune looks promising, but does have some shortcomings. The PROcede is freaking powerful, and seems to have the most extensive research and knowledge behind it. I may be picky, but I've been hoping for a more simple and bullet-proof hook up (harness) arrangement.

Regardless of what my priorities are, I realize that we are all snowflakes and have our unique interests. It does not bother me that someone else has a different opinion as to which shocks or tune is best, I appreciate facts and observations that are posted up here. I think we could all do a much better job of being friendly and civil about it.

You gotta ask yourself whether or not some of these people (I'm sure there's at least one) are just competitors of Shiv's trying to turn buyers to them. It seems everytime a post like this comes up, there is a posting right away praising another product. Which product comes to mind .... hmmm.....

haha I can't wait until Shiv finally blows up his 335. Just like back then with his evos LOL!

hes just going to keep increasing the boost and by PROcede v4.0 (or less), he'll blow up his 335 and I'm going to laugh.

Maybe the Dinan tune hasn't been selling as well as expected? Plus with rumors of a BMW Flash coming out that can't be good for them (If it exist I would tend to think the BMW flash would be less aggressive than the Dinan, but who knows at this point).

You're gonna laugh? Should we be impressed by your higher social functions such as laughter...? Let's see what other animals laugh, hunt in packs, and are generally obnoxious and unpleasant. Oh, hyenas.

I like how in your simple mind it would be a good thing if shiv blew up his car because that would... what... make your car better somehow? All this negativity and group think is bringing down this forum as a whole.

Lastly, I don't know that Shiv ever blew up an evo but if it was the evo 8 that shit deserved to be blown up because they gave us a crappy, unhealthy, detuned model in the US; they should have brought out the evo 9 motor in the evo 8, the 8 was a dog. it required full exhaust, cams, fuel pump, and a reflash just to make an evo 8 make similar power to a 9 with a reflash...

My $0.02...I like the guy, LOVE his product, he's answered all my questions, and I have never had an issue with it in my car.

Quality in my book. Keep it up.

Just did a nice drive in 2.0.2 - 12/29/2007 map. Wow! Very happy with the performance. Putting an intake on next and I'm done my mods after that.

I got tired of reading through yet another stupid ECU tuning thread so just in case anyone hasn't mentioned it...

Basic statistical analysis would tell us that only a (probably small) portion of 335 procede users post on this forum at all. Of those, most of the people who will post anything are those who are having problems. When people get angry/frustrated they tend to lash out (as made evident by this and many other threads). Unfortunately, few will post praise of a product/service in relation to the negative posts. This is both a flawed and skewed statistical sample and cannot be ruled "statistically significant."
For example, I've had a procede for almost 12,000 miles, have yet to have a single problem, but (sorry Shiv) I haven't posted a single thing about the procede yet. Shiv's 90-95% are happy users stat probably isn't much of an exaggeration.

It's a great product with some of the best updates and support. Everybody chill out... jeezus

I kind of partially agree with what have been said(the complaints), at least the guy addressed some real concerns. I also believe Vishnu is doing his part to fix issues.

I would like to see though some better pricing. Throw some military disccount Shiv, the customers will always appreciate it,
