07 E92 No Sound For Two Years....
I purchased this vehicle two years ago and the amplifier was missing and never paid too much mind to it until now as I’ve purchased a verified working amp. But I’ve noticed these two wires don’t go nowhere what am I missing I tried the Orange Loop, Wires to still no avail please help Amp shows yellow solid light. I believe I’m missing another component but I can’t seem to figure out what it is
SOS Malfuntion No Gong Etc, all I want is radio just some kind of noise to drown out the exhaust Thanks in advance.

You need BMW Standard Tools suite and a Bimmergeeks
Cable plus a laptop. (Go to the coding sub forum for this) Then you have to use it to read how the modules are coded. If you have a car made after 3/07 you may need the more expensive Icom Cable to program Most Bus modules. You can try to default code the Head Unit with the CAR VO if it still had Logic 7 (option 677 and or 688 in the VO) This starts our by learning to read an program the modules in NCSexpert. However a SOS error does genrally result from a broken Most Loop. Most test point http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=347222 You should see a Red Light coming out of one side of the Head unit on the Most Bus cable. Forgot about this but
Forgot about this but one indirect way to tell if the Head Unit is programmed
for Logic 7 Logic 7 has some different menu's It has a graphic equalizer and some canned sound modes not present in the other Sound systems. (when the unit is programed for stereo or Hi Fi no graphic equalizer menu) There is a maintenance mode where you can read what it's programmed for to . Which idrive fo you have ccc or cic? or do you have pro radio? http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...2&d=1260829447 This guy shows how to get to the equalizer in the last half of the video. compatible firmware in the amplifier is also sometimes and issue. And by sound menu do you mean the graphic eq adjustment screen.
Check the back of the Radio or Idrive for light output . And check for light at the Most Hub. Hub is shown in some of the links. One guy on here had rats eat his fiber optics. |

the another MOST cable in same place is for cd-changer preparation, it is not connected on MOST junction box and should be ignored.
