Car keeps losing complete power....

So guys, I need some help. My car keeps losing power everytime I shut off the car. I manually go in the trunk and mess around with the negative connection on the battery and then it turns on. I know it's something to do with wiring on the battery, but I retightened the connection on the battery and it still keeps doing it. Anything else that I should be checking?

I believe there is a power cable recall. Call you local dealership or look here in the forum for more info. Good luck!

Hi WRichieX,

Any news from the dealers? I would suggest it's a bad ground between the car and the battery... Also excessive tightening can damage the battery internally..

I haven't had a chance to call the dealer. Will be doing that tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

Hey guys, I finally took my car to the dealership for this issue. Embarrassing but all they did was tighten the positive cable as apparently it was a little loose. Now I have no problems. weird because I did check the cables and tightened it as well. Charged me $70 to do that. But they also hit my car on something so they are repainting the front bumper. So I guess I don't feel too bad about the $70 charge. lol
