No its impossible to mandrel bend the pipes with that tight of turns. Our pipes are welded in sections, I am looking for my prototype pics, I will post them up here so you can see the weld points and section are totally different then UR. I think that will clear up some of the mess caused by our buddy Andrew at AR.

I understand that its easy to manipulate numbers on a dyno but atleast some stock to aftermarket product comparisons would be nice. im very interested in the DPs and the IC.

and they cost 2500 USD worth the flex. There is not need for a flex on this car. The orignal pipes dont have a flex as well, is totally rigid . the rubber mounting on the whole exhaust are taking care of vibrations.

look again - the stock downpipes do have a flex section - perhaps not the traditional flex section - but an "accordion style"

There is no purpose to a flex pipe on our cars. Its great that VK is helping out his customers by offering another option but it is really overkill. I agree with Mr.5.

Yep. I believe that once mwahlert ever gets a chance to have the actual OEM DPs in his hands instead of just looking at a picture, he'll agree with us.

Yeah, real funny bro. What is even more funny is the fact that you only seem to get the bootleg part of the whole paragraph. I see a trend with you, hmm..you think everything we do is a bootleg. I even broke down where every part was made and explained to you how we produced the products and how they were not bootlegs of any other product. You made the same comment with the Dinan flywheel thing. Frankly, its getting old. I dont know what else to say to you besides, if you dont like our company, then dont buy our products. I agree, the stock downpipes dont have a true flex section, but if some of you want a the ribbed section like stock, I will put that out as well. What ever helps you sleep better at night. |

Cant wait to see the dyno numbers and pics! Not trying to bash anyone but what makes the Riss racing DPs so great? and why does each DP company vary in performance and dyno numbers? How can there be such a difference if they are all just piping?

Different dynos, days, methods of testing, temps, fan setups, elevation, supporting mods, octane of gas, tune...just to name a few. Besides you will notice that most people just look at the peak numbers. Which could be for 100rpms. I hate to say it but all the down pipes are going to be within a few hp/tq of each other. Dont get cought up on dyno number.

I'm not hung up on dyno numbers at all I just want to know why the $150 price difference between UR and RR is only because of product name.

Any updates / test results on the catted versions?
For me it would be very important that the car will pass the smog test in Germany. Thats why I would only buy downpipes with very high-quality cats. |
