Not sure I had Chinese food in Vancouver but I did stay in Richmond for a week and ate at many of their famous Chinese places.

Is Richmond known for having a lot of Chinese people and good eats? ;P
Haha the majority of the population in Richmond are Chinese. Probably the most Chinese city outside of Asia.

My family is hodge podge. My dad's idea of Chinese is five spice pork chops.

Yeah my fave congee is the thousand-year-old egg but I like the flavour and don't actually eat the egg.

Bro... Jjajjangmyun actually originated from northern China. It's literally phonetically translated into Korean.

Your friend is pretty funny. I'll give it to Koreans for making good fried chicken.

Stop being so Korean and calling out everything as your own!

Korean guy: (in slurring, drunken yet super deep and loud voice): "yoh maaaaan.... We invented that... Choo goo le?!!! Puk you!!!!"

Anyhow, when Koreans go out to eat, guess where they eat? Korean restaurants. In fact, for most functions, Koreans goto Korean restaurants. So that's not really a great test sample.

In fact, outside of fine dining, Koreans don't really eat much else, in my experience hanging out with Koreans for 2 decades.

So your friend is racist and thinks all Asians are the same?

I love this place.

Not sure that I have had korean porridge. I don't typically order it or eat it at restaurants.

There is a hole in the wall restaurant near Causeway Bay in Hong Kong that seats about 10 people that I love getting youtiao and ja leung from. They also have delicious soy milk.

I think in another thread there was the establishment that Chinese and Koreans aren't the biggest fans of Japanese.

Koreans can't live without those flakes. Immune to spicy.

Yes. I especially love the super-sized golf hats. Look like satellite dishes.

For serious, Korean moms are well put together. Chanel bags and everything.

I apparently got honorary asian status yesterday at work when I hung out with a bunch at lunch. They said I should try and make fun of how they talk. Went over.
