Curious, stock intake or dci?
I think I'm dealing with a boost leak too...but I was wondering if maybe it's a vacuum leak...since the waste gates open slightly before the boost drops off...

Would appreciate any input...I took the charge pipe off last night and it looks intact. Planning on looking at the hot side of the IC tonight...

Perhaps there is a boost leak, could be vacuum leak but it could also be turbos. Notice how your wgdc is straining to meet the target and exceeds 50% just to boost 11psi or so. How old are they? Rattle ?
In mashers log, wgdc is consistent with his boost.

Turbos are 90k...never been tuned before last week. I don’t hear any rattle and I don’t burn a drop of oil...

Did you notice how the wgdc drops off while the boost target is still steady? Why is that?

Thats wgdc pid giving up once you hit target.

Went back to stock map for a baseline for virtual dyno. On stock map i hit target and hold it perfectly compared to may stage 1+ with a 1-1.5 psi leak hmmm... Maybe its not a leak? Otherwise i shouldn't be holding targets perfectly o.o..

I would agree with that logic...my underboost condition shows up on stage 1 and stage 0 so I suspect it’s a boost or vacuum leak...

I bought this car over a month ago and also bought MHD flasher and I've been running stage 1+ for about 3 weeks. It pulled really hard at first but I began to notice it wasn't pulling as hard. At first I thought it was just me getting used to the extra horsepower, but then I got an 30ff code (and I've been getting it every time I go WOT through 3rd gear since). Never quite hit target and boost drops off like a rock.

I've since downgraded the tune back to Map 0 (stock) and I am still getting the code. I'm wondering what my logs tell you guys. Turbos gone bad? Boost pressure solenoid? I've never had any wastegate rattle.

I've checked the charge pipe and it is perfectly in-tact. Looking into other possible sources. Thanks you so much for looking!

I'm having the same exact issue...in my case as in your I notice that the WGDC drops prior to the boost dropping. I've been trying to read up and see what this means but I haven't had much success. Could it be a vacuum leak causing the wastegate to open prematurely?

Hello, I had a little issue with my synapse bov. I removed the broken preload spring and everything seemed good. Should i be concerned with the stft? I am running PI, maybe one bank is not turning on; maybe a PI malfunction? Or is this not much of a concern?~ Thanks!

Good morning guys...here is another log of a 4th gear pull.
2012 335is DCT (Completely stock) MHD V8 Stage 1+ E30 map.
https://datazap.me/u/2012-335is/2012...-31&mark=16-28

The V7.1 unmodified stage 1 93 oct. was the first map I flashed to, and in my humble opinion, since I was all new to me, I couldnt tell a difference from the stock tune. I've sinced tried several of the other maps, including the V8 Stage 1, 1+, 2 and 2+, using 93 oct, a blend of 93 and E85 (E30)

Hopefully, I'll have the intercooler and downpipes installed with in the next few weeks.
Thanks!

I am surprised you didn't notice a difference in the tune but maybe without the FMIC and DP's it's hard to tell.

Real talk if your gonna get intercoolers and downpipes installed at once you might as well buy an intake inlet for install as well only anotehr like 100 bucks. Trust me on this one.... At no additional labour cost really and adds about +30-40whp. Don't need the outlet just inlet. I wish i knew this before i did my downpipes hah... oh well..

Hi guys,

Can anyone have a quick look at the following logs. Cars running MHD 2+ with upgraded FMIC & Catless DP's, CP and stock intake. Occasionally (rarely) i tend to throw a 30FF code - usually only happens when pushing on hard in 3rd around 5-6k rpm.

I've got a couple of logs - the first one is the one where i actually threw a 30ff code:
https://datazap.me/u/wasimsattar/mhd...og=0&data=3-23

and the next two were done later on that night - no codes thrown in these pulls -
https://datazap.me/u/wasimsattar/mhd...og=0&data=3-23
https://datazap.me/u/wasimsattar/mhd...og=0&data=3-23

All logs done with TC fully off and 3rd gear around 2500-3000rpm start. Cars a Manual trans and foot was flat on accelerator *i think -although logs show accel postion in the 80-90% range. Also ambient air temp was 20c (68f)

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback NoGuru ^5, much appreciated.
I guess since my car is an "is", it wasn't a dramatic change in power. Out of all the maps I've tried...the V8 Stage 1+ 95 Octane pulled the hardest to me. .this one.
4.5 gallons of e85 to 11.5 gallons of 93. But my stft stopped registering in the logs, so I switched to the actual E30 map from the 95 octane one.
Can you provide any insight on that log?

Masher, I've been on fence on purchasing the MMP inlets and VTT outlets.
They have been sitting in my cart for 2 weeks now.

You're suggesting to skip the outlets and definitely get the inlets? I'll pull the trigger today when I get home from work. And you're right about the installation...it would be much easier when the down pipes are being replaced.

You can probably skip the outlets, it really depends on how baller u feel but totally get the inlets no question. U can even install just the front inlet and leave the rear one stock cuz the front one is the one that reduces airflow the most but it really depends on ur mechanic and if hes done it before and how much extra u want to pay for labour.

So there's something about this tune that this particular car does not like, what could it be?

WGDC base is aggressive for 2 reasons; 1. high altitude tuning on stock turbos and 2. in order to show you guys WGDC after PID is not following the base.

I've tried lowering load so boost is on target (among other things) but WGDC after PID is still stuck at 40.2. Any ideas?

Check your WGDC Airflow Adder and WGDC Ceiling tables.
WGDC Ceiling = the WGDC limit for given MAF Req WGDC on the X axis

Adder/ceiling is applied to base only. WGDC Limit should be the limit for WGDC after PID, but even the stock limit is higher than what's on that log. Wonder if it also acts a final "emergency" limit if things are too far out of range. Max WG PWM range is set to 100% in the roms, but stock WGDC Limit is 57%, which is what his final WGDC happens to be. That may just be coincidence, but either way, the boost control is obviously jacked up, elevation or not.

What's your WGDC Limit set to GODDSPD?
