CIC retrofit on non I-drive

I'm trying to figure out the AUX for the CIC retrofit on non Idrive 2008 e90.
Original AUX has 3 wires: ground, left and right channel
CIC AUX has 6 wires.
My question is: do I need to run new harness from AUX to CIC or I can just re-pin the 6 pin connector with the 3 wires that I have.
Any input will be much appreciated. See photos for reference:

I was lucky that I already had USB and Aux in my console so didn’t have to do this part.
Can someone who has done this please chime in ? I believe that the CCC has aux that goes to the CCC but CIC it goes to the trunk to the MULF or combox unit. Aux audio goes from console to trunk via wiring and then from the MULF or combox via MOST fibre loop.

I believe that 3 wires go to CIC and 3 wires go to Combox but need to confirm. I also think that CIC can be coded to receive AUX only from center console but need to confirm that as well.

I've read a lot of different things. 6FL and various configurations which include the USB hub and those that don't make this a complicated one, unfortunately I can't cast any light on this. I actually need to tap the Aux line myself, for a permanent wire which needs Aux access, hopefully that is possible. Checking the WDS may cast some light on the matter.

you can simply wire only 3 wires to HU, but if you have mulf2high or combox then better route aux to them
second 3 wires used in 6NF cradle for routing audio from phone in cradle

Ich schätze es! I have a small issue. After changine VO (I added #0910, $6VA and $609) I have sound, bluetooth works too. Adding #0909 didn't get me sound. CIC is from 2012 e92, last ever made e92. Some other settings got all crazy, mostly lights but the actual issue is that I found the CIC is update C08. I was told has to be C1A for pather to work. Any suggestions?

Yes, you need to bring the CIC up to the last latest level, C1A.

I think you might have a problem with the daten here. Normally for the E9x series, there is no major benefit in using the latest daten ie V60, etc...

Same as me, you need to find someone with ICOM to update the CIC or you can do it via Ethernet but anees knows more about that than me(ive not attempted it)

How to update CIC without ICOM http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1401983

How safe is CIC update with ICOM ? I read this http://bmw-icom-a2-wifi.blogspot.com...th-winkfp.html but didn't mention the risk of bricking the CIC

I was coding the CIC yesterday and notice it says CIC C1A in NCS. Does this mean I got lucky?

Yes, it would seem to be using the latest coding program files.

However, run tool32, load cicr.pg and execute command ZIF_LESEN to see what version of the software you are running

I think ZIF reading is avaible with INPA as well. Finding free FSTool seems almost impossible. Any suggestions there?

Yes, of course. Go here for the FSTOOL:

https://mega.nz/#!w3wyCBgQ!U_XFe2y1F...plAv_EhKLPhkpw

I forgot to mention:

JAVA runtime 1.4.2 will only work with FSTOOLS.
You need EDIABAS 7.3.x

Thank you so much. I got Java. FSTool is working. I have Edibas 7.3. However I think I'm missing some files: 00_privatekeys\fscs.der and 03_FSC_TEMPLATES and 02_CERT. Where are these files at?

feuer ,

download this carserver folder:

https://mega.nz/#!gpUxRJ7Q!7KVm_-ImJ...uBebPik91Kskks

and copy it / overwrite your c:\ec-apps\carserver with this download.

I think the daten files might not be correct.

I'm not sure. You will need to take a look tomorrow. I can't load 1B now. Says invalid creation date. I'm clueless of what happened in FSTool. This is what I get with Get Status:
FCS rejected
FCS Cert Status accepted
SIG Cert Status accepted
SW Signature Status accepted
