Why did you strip the entire harness??? These swaps aren't rocket science and it certainly appears you took the long way to get there. I appreciate the enthusiasm though!
From my understanding, swapping the harness is not necessary.

See my reply to his post (end of Page 4), it was inevitable with the combination of DCT and Pre-LCI, aside from the fact that I would still need to integrate the tailgate, PDC, Comfort Access, the LCI HVAC unit is also different, and the modifications I would need to do to the incorporate the LCI iDrive harness.

Only way it wouldn't have been necessary is if I started the build on a LCI platform and still woulda had to do much more modifications to the harness to accommodate the DCT (wiring from JBE to DSC Pump, YAW sensor, Center Console, DCT harness).

Believe me, if I knew I would end up spending over 40hrs on just the harness before I swapped the motors, I simply would have sold the wagon and purchased an LCI one, however, just thinking about incorporating the DCT into it isn't making me feel more confident about that route.

Had I gone the 6MT route, I would have been done with this build by now.

Instead... I'm just getting ready to do the dash, and cooling since I was waiting for the HVAC unit to go back in.

Very excited to get this out of the way.

Before I mounted the dash, I dropped the steering column about 1/4"... E9x's steering position is way to high compared to many other BMW's, so this should make a nice improvement.

PS, I haven't decided on the interior color yet, so I'm open to ideas, at the moment... coral red is my easiest and cheapest option, but I'm not sure how I feel about it on Monaco Blue. I think ideally... something along lines of Brown/Saddle?

Included a photo with temp coral seats below...

I think a saddle brown interior with custom upholstered saddle brown Bride seats would be nice. Maybe you could even retrofit M4 seats in there

I'm considering F80 seats if I come across a decent deal, in which case it'll have to be black so I can match the door panels (black e90 M3).

Finding saddle brown E90 door panels will definitely not be easy.

It'd be a nice little upgrade for sure. And there's plenty of them on eBay, I'm fairly certain M3 and N5X are interchangeable

I'm a huge fan of red interior leather, personally, so I'm sure I'd go with the red...

If you were closer, I'd swap you my saddle brown interior for it! Man I dig the red.

What's the plan for the exhaust/rear diffuser? I'm looking for ideas to add symmetric dual or quad pipes.

Dropped the rear back down to relocate the fuel charcoal canister, do some cleaning, Whiteline subframe bushing inserts, install new rear struts along with a few misc additions (alarm siren, exhaust flap solenoid, TPMS receiver module).

Lots of surprises, from bee hives on top of the gas tank, to fluffy nooks

Idk why the rear chassis tension brace was covered in such nasty grease, but had it cleaned up and replaced the rusty bolts with some fresh E bolts.

Next up is heatshields and then mounting the IS exhaust.

Heatshields installed and cleaned, exhaust installed with new gaskets and E90 n54 crash bar, slapped on some temp wheels and will be back next weekend to finish up with the rear end of the wiring and start assembling the interior.

E91 M-Sport Rear bumper, and E92 M-Sport front end on order

Still need to score some wheels and the interior.

Is it just the angle of the picture, or is this control arm bent?

Hmm not sure, when I inspected it, all seemed fine except the camber control arm on the driver side. Either way Im going to replace all rear control arms when I'm ready to do the alignment. Thanks for the catch

Went to pick up some goodies today.

Got the tailgate, taillights, black cargo cover and a pile of expensive "junk".

Sorted out a few more things in the front...

Was waiting to get the 850w fan, and replace the oil cooler because the original one was bent. Bled the coolant, power steering, and brakes.

Having an issue for the brake switch I believe, as the car starts up without depressing the brake pedal, and the brake lights remain lit when ignition is on.

Swapped the tailgate and taillights, did some ISTA-D diag, slowly sorting out all the faults. Still struggling with a few diversity antenna wires but hoping to figure that out by end of Sunday as well as tackle the first fender graft.
