Michelin PSS - 235/35 front 265/30 rear or 245/35 front 275/30 rear?? 8.5 and 9.5 w
Ok I was hoping to get some Michelin PSS e92 pre lci tire fitment info for my wheels.
I've literally received the best info from Monacobluee90 and cannot thank him enough. That guy is a serious wealth of knowledge and is always available to answer questions btw. Anyway I picked up a set of Alufelgen SF71's from a local member 19x8.5 et35 19x9.5 et35 I want to run the PSS and am trying to figure out if I go 235/35 front 265/30 rear or 245/35 front 275/30 rear. I should add I'm stock sport suspension right now. This will be changing at some point in the near future. Can anyone she'd some light? I'm concerned the PSS might look bulged on the wheel widths??? I've seen plenty of cars w 235 / 265 and it looks good. I would love to stick the fattest tire I can out back because I am looking for more and more power. Forward thinking I guess. Anyway any and all input is appreciated so thank you. Last edited by NW 335i; 08-15-2014 at 12:09 AM.. |

I have 18 x 8.5s in front and 18 x 9.5s in the rear and run the 245 and 275 combo in PSSs and it looks perfect. I still had stock suspension when I first go my wheels and it looked great but of course slightly better after dropping a bit from coilovers. Go with the wider tires.

I replaced my rear tires with 275/30. Wheels are 19". Picture two compares new 275/30 vs OEM. Not much difference. Believe it or not, 285's would have fit without any problems. The front tires are OEM. No rubbing, no suspension medications, no problems. Much smoother ride than the OEM Run Flats. Tires are Bridgestone RE 760 Sports. Semper Fi |

you'll be fine with 235/35, 265/30 and you can fit 275/30 in the rear. have to keep in mind that PSS's have more of a square shoulder than other tires so they'll fill up more than Conti ExtremeContact DW, for example.

Thanks for the info guys. Is there any downside of staying w 235 front and going 275 rear?
Derryck do youy have the offsets of your wheels or any pictures you can link me too? frmr usmc looks good and thanks for the pics. I know the PSS is going to seem bigger than a B Stone 275 even if marked a 275 and I hope it wont look bulged out. Your setup looks good. |

Bridgestone doesn't make a 285. A 295/25 would be awesome!!! It would only be -5.5 mm off from the original 255/30 diameter.

last set I sid 235 front/265 rear. This time I did 245.
If you look at the specs, the 245 PSS is just slightly wider, and a couple tenths taller. That put more rubber on the road and a little more cushion on the rim/less chance of bending a rim/less wear on the front end. No minuses.

Guys thanks for the feedback.
I'm still having a tough time here w what fits, what doesn't, and what looks right. It seems the 235 275 the diameters are the same, and the sidewall is the same. At 235 265 the diameters are nearly the same, and the sidewalls are different w the front being bigger by 3.5% At 245 275 the diameters are nearly the same, and the sidewalls are different w the front being bigger by 3.8% So with all that being said and not being able to see pics or find pics of the various setups on PSS tires I'm just confused as hell. I'm leaning towards a 235 275 because the tires should look nearly identical when mounted. I've spent way too much time searching and reading and the info is so conflicted. |

I'm not xwd. I guess when it's all said and done I just can't get over having a bigger front tire on a rwd car. It seems strange to me even if visually thy look close to the same. With that being said I am fairly certain I will be going w a 235 275 combo as its the only option out of what I am considering that has the closest sidewall measurements, diameter and doesn't have the front tire bigger than the rear. |
