Closest to OEM 18" Wheel Fitment

Hi all

Long time reader... first time poster. Part of that has been that in 6 years owning my E92 I haven't experienced any real issues to need to ask about and touch wood that carries on.

Currently that car is sitting on 18" MV3 the usual factory set up of 235/40/18 on the front and 255/35/18 on the back.

They are in need of a refurb so I am considering possibly changing them... this very new for me as I have never had a modding bug for any car... ever!

I really like the 18" M359 style wheels and have seen a few on eBay. But if I change wheels over a refund of the MV3... I want to keep the same tyres

So my question is would I have any issues with my current tyres going onto the following?

18" Front 8J ET38, Rear 9J ET42

How "ok" would these wheels be with my current tyres? Would I be getting away with it or perfectly safe?

Thanks all for help.

Those aren't M359, knock off reps. Tires would fit no issues.

Yes I know the eBay ones are not the OEM M359 as they only come in 19 I think?

But I'd settle for a replica if I can get a good 18" one.

Iv been reading the Avant Garde m359 seem to be a replica people are happy with in respect or quality.

The fitment seems to be 8.5j et35 with 9.5j et33

Would that work well with current tyres?

Yes that works well with your current tyre size.

Your front tyre is one size wider then stock, which is 225/40–18

225 wide tyre on a 8.5 wide rim will fit fine, but look a bit stretched. 255 wide rear on 9.5 rim is perfect straight
