I am confused a bit. There are totally 16 mounting holes on U2 connector preparation of r270 adapter board (on the front and back faces) Should I solder on all these holes? So I cannot see any soldering spot on the front face because of test clip's sub board. Is it just enough to solder on 8 mounting holes in the back layer? Thanks. (Sorry for my ignorance)

I can't comment on the header install, but do you not have a solder station with a heat gun? I literally got my EEPROM off in seconds, it's bad practise but I didn't even resolder the EEPROM with new solder, I just placed it on and used the heat gun to melt it back to the original solder. Never had a single issue.

I don't think there's anything covered in my thread that hasn't been on here, though I didn't have any luck clearing the EEPROM in the R270 software, I had to read it, open the dump online using an online hex editor, wiped VIN with FF's then opened that dump back in the r270 programmer software and flashed that dump. I even had the black Ukrainian board but it wouldn't do it the normal way.
