Which arm is it?

Like the title says.

It looks like 2 on the diagram but I'm not too sure. Looks like it's in a wrong place.

How hard/easy was it 1 out 10? 10 easy and 1 is hard.

Hi mate what made you change it? Was there any obvious symptoms? I'm getting vibration through the car which is coming from the back as I'm braking anying about 45 50. Did you have anything similar?

My mechanic said they wear out often. But it's not vibrations I'm getting. It's a clonking sound when going over bumps. I'd take it to a mechanic. Too many things in the back that can go wrong. I would not try to guess it.

But others might make some suggestions.

Thanks for that I cant hear a clanking sound, I've changed and tried most things to no avail so I thought it would be worth an ask if you got vibrations symptoms. I currently have a braking thread ongoing with regards to my vibration issue under breaking.

7 out of 10 on the scale of ease. getting the torque wrench on it was the hardest part.

my arm 3 on the right side was replaced by the dealer, still had some vibration in the car, had a “clunk” when putting/driving in reverse, and upon inspection i saw the bushing was done, looked horrible. did both sides #2 and left side #3 as well (so both sides are refreshed now). in under 3 hours on the driveway.

and with nearly 300.000km on the car it’s time for a refresh anyway. did shocks & struts earlier, front control arms & stuff also.

Before you changed the arms you describe did you feel any vibration in braking or a slight shimmy before coming to a complete stop at all? There is no clunks or noises from mine currently so just trying to rule out stuff. Has doing so entirely fixed your issue?

Still think this is brake related not suspension because when you spray stuff onto the brakes the vibration temporarily stops.

Did you ever measure the disc run out?

Until you are sure it is not the brakes there is no point looking elsewhere otherwise you are back to replacing parts that are not faulty willy-nilly!
