Am I being a crazy noob?

Okay well I just went to take my car to run some errands, and am I just going crazy cause when I got home I checked around my car to see if there were any like scratches or whatnot...and I feel under the front bumper and stuff LMAO...I feel like I want to drive my car spiritedly but then again I get this other side of me that just wants to not drive it cause I have this like thing about not putting miles on my car and afraid something like a scratch will happen to it....

Do any of you ever get like that??

That above paragraph may or maynot make sense, might of just been a venting session for me

i thought i was bad putting 30 k miles during the first year but soon i realize i wasnt the only one
scratches/ rock chips are all part of the cycle especially when you live in nyc. Ive painted my front bumper numerous time ( 2 times from MAC )

so quit your bitching and drive the damn car !

nope i put 27k on my car last year panda. you also own the car. enjoy it man all the horsepower is no good couped up in your driveway(your cars a peacock you gotta let it fly)... drive it like you love it, just be smart stay away from trucks and anything that really is notorious for throwing rocks. stay on top of the paint and you'll be happy

lol i do the same thing bro.. i wipe down my car in the problem areas (front bumper, rear bumper, and front fenders) after every drive if i'm not going to take it out again the rest of the day. That's probably why i JUST hit 4k miles in my car.

little weird for sure....keep the car clean but if your not driving the car at all because your afraid it gets scratched or dirty, then you have mental issues! Car crazy obsessed! I am anal also but I do take it out at least 1 to 2 days a week and goto the city with it! You have been to two meets in Brooklyn and not once did you bring your car to a BMW car meet!! Go figure!

I was the same way, wanted to keep the miles on mine low since it has very low miles for the year (44k on an 02

) and was very cautious with it. I still am, but with my daily driver's motor blown I now have to use it all the time. Needless to say I don't care about the mileage anymore, the grin on my face whenever I drive it says enough.

I shouldn't either, cause I wasn't like this when I had my 07 328xi but then again I didn't throw all this money in to mods either loll, so I guess thats part of the reason.

A car is a car -- drive it because it's meant to be driven, and enjoy it. Worrying about it all the time will just cause unnecessary stress. Just make sure you wash it regularly, avoid potholes, and don't park in tight spots

God forbid when you lower it and scrape your bumper or lip or whatever

I sometimes get crazy with the cleaning and all that stuff, then I realize that its only a 335i, Its not some Lambo, Aston, Porsche or anything else uber-expensive or exotic.....most people piss on 3 series cars, no matter what model. So who cares.

I really dont understand why people (mostly on here) mod thier cars, spend hours on here talking about modding thier cars, take multiple "professional" photo albums of thier cars, go to the dyno and make 350+hp, run meth, then NEVER DRIVE THEM!! lol Enjoy the car.....Enjoy any project you put time and money into, why do it if your not????

So when you think like that, its just metal, plastic, and rubber......Its just a car. Be anal about the cleanliness of it, have a good body shop and paintless dent guy, have a good local shop, have a good wheel repair guy and you will be good bro!!!!!!

i used to be like that, until i got my first rock chip, a small scratch, etc it wears off but i have def been there, i was under the miles on my car for the first year or so but have quickly made up for it
