yeah any news on this? I've been in contact with jake about an e tune, but I'm sure a dyno tune is better. but if nothing gets set, I may just do the e tune. keel me informed.

How many people did Jake need to justify coming up here?

It looks like in his first post he said 3-4 car which seems we already have. Im just not sure if I shold get the etune or wait for him to come this way. Only issue for me doing a dyno tune is more money. I cant totallyt justify paying for another dyno tune. Especially after all the money Ive already spent on a dyno tune. LOL. But depending on price, Im definately down. Hows your car running Eric?

I know that Jake was talking to Helix about getting a deal on the dyno time, but I'm sure he'd be up for street tuning (budget dyno) if we had the space to do some pulls on a highway/street. My car's been running great & Jake actually sent me a revision for my E85 tune Sunday, so I'm really excited to get some E85 back in the tank & take some logs for him.

I think my car is untunable

The transmission is telling the ECU to piss off when I try to throw more than 450 whp at it. Basically I can get up to 16-17 psi peak on RB turbos but after that the car goes into torque limiter mode and the car stops accelerating lol. We need to eliminate this and the car's gonna be good to go.

Worst case, it's time to stack the good old JB4

Bump from the past --- If enough people express an interest, Jake would be willing to come up to South Jersey and ProTune some cars (possibly at Undercover Performance where I dyno'd my car).

I know that I'm planning a Race Gas ProTune after New Year (and once I can get my hands on MS109), so with X-Mas coming up it'd be a great time to get a ProTune & work something out with the guys at PTF

Hey Eric how are you doing? Whats MS109? You already have the e85 maps which seemed like your car was really kicking ass. Why are you going to a race gas map? Is there that much more power potential with race gas over e85?

By the way, how did you make out on the dyno? I havent been on this site in a while so I havent been keeping up with everything like I normally would. Also whatever happened to Jake going to HELIX for Pro Tunes?

MS109 is the highest octane of unleaded race gas -- Anything higher (C10, C16, etc) has lead and will damage of the o2 sensors after prolonged use. Running straight MS109 should edge out the E85 blends we're able to run on the OEM injectors & fuel pump.

The ProTune turned out great:
  • Stock - 270 WHP / 290 WTQ
  • 93 Octane ProTune - 380 WHP / 395 WTQ
  • E85 ProTune - 428 WHP / 460 WTQ

I don't think Jake was able to make it out to Helix, but I bumped this thread to see if enough people in the NJ/PA area would be interested in getting ProTunes done by Jake on a dyno (both N54 & N55 COBB users). He's going out to Colorado soon, so I'm sure if we got enough interested people he'd have no problem coming up to the Philly area.

We'd still be willing to do this if people are interested in doing a Philly tune day...

Back in NJ -- Now that COBB's released their N55 tune, I'm sure we'd be able to find LOTS of people in the South Jersey/Southeast PA area that would want to get their cars ProTuned by Jake

Im sure your right. People would love to get this done. My only issue is I never had the boost leak taken care of. Just havent had the time. But, I havent seen the code again for a while. I think its just the connections to the FMIC. Because it seems for about 2 or 3 weeks after the connections are tightened, theres no boost leak. But then shortly after the connections must come loose and the code is back. So this needs to be fixed.
