I'm selling one of my '06 330i E90s and I'm not sure what's a fair price.

Build date August '05, Monaco Blue on Black Vinyl. RWD, Manual, Sport, no I drive.

285,500 km.

Good:
Everything that needs to be done gets done. New shocks/struts, front control arms and tie rods, brakes, clutch, flywheel, water pump, starter, AC compressor. No leaks. Valve cover, oil filter, oil pan gaskets replaced. Runs great. A joy to drive.

Bad:
Plenty of door dings, and some dents on the hood and fender from a bunch of ice that came off the roof of the house. Paint on the front bumper, drivers fender and the hood are pretty bad.

Unusual:
Heated steering wheel retrofit from an Lci.

Wheels/Tires:
I don't know what to put on it. The factory staggered 162s have brand new General GMAX AS-05s. They're currently on my 335 for Saturdays rainy looking track day at Mosport. I also have some worn but will pass a safety staggered Michelin Pilot Super Sports from the '11 335, and snow tires on 17" M6 replicas.

Thoughts, opinions anyone?

Unfortunately high mileage BMWs aren't very valuable, this would be worth anywhere between $3000-5500 on the market

330 and sport/manual being a desirable version is what is keeping this car worth some money. Age isn't really a factor but the mileage and exterior are holding it back.


I agree with the other dollar values; but you might be able to get more if you clean up the exterior and aesthetics.

I don't expect much as this car is old and our car has terrible resale value, like other said get done with it or keeping driving it (to save you money).
My little advise is that someone may willing to pay more for your mechanical condition, just make sure you mention to them how good it is and be patient.

I don't think I have any delusions about what a 14 year old 285k 3 series is worth. I had it listed for $3500 from a few days before I first asked this question. I hadn't seen any responses so thought maybe I was too high, and asked here for a reality check. Turns out the messages were all in junk mail. First person to actually come to see and drive the car wants it. Supposed to pick it up later in the week.

With all those weer and tear parts already replaced, it's a helluva bargain for a daily driver at $3500.

Yeah, but it takes the right person to look past the paint damage from the highway km and the door dings to realize that.

Hate to sell it. Going to miss it.
