To what extent are you able to retrofit the s/w with paddles without splicing into wires?

Just to clarify, I have 2006 330d pre-lci and have retro-fitted the 3 wire type paddles and they only work in d/s mode, will re-coding the autobox enable d/s and D shifting.

You can make a harnest by using oem parts and 22awg wire so you dont need to splice.

I didnt mind so i just spliced. But its very doable without splicing

Its soooo worth it. Since sunday when i got mine workin in d mode, ive had a bit of fun but its also help me big time where i could down shift to overtake quickly and safely. And also today one idiot changed his mind when goin through an amber light. I had to brake hardly but then with two clicks i was down from 5th to 2nd and engine breaking helped me not to hit into the back of him!

Well no luck for me.
I can't find my Assembly No. anywhere in the GKExxx modules.

My assembly no. = 7592062
I found in GKE215 assembly no. 7592066 !

My gearbox software was updated on the 23.03.2009

@bajandrifter what have you done more? What do you mean by "Just updating my cas as type". Did you add an extra VO in the CAS module?

add 7xa to the vo then default code the egs module. then you need to code the egs.

i use nsc dummy when im coding so i get the translations

you need the change the line PADDLE TYPE from wert_02(its automatically set to this one RESISTANCE BASED )

change to WERT_00 (SWITCH BASED).

Also, You Do Not Need To Search For The Zubs No. Just Click Comfort Mode>update Zubs>select Gke215 For E.g Then>done>programzbus.

Then Winkfp Will Automatically Find Your Zubus Number And Link It With The Latest Update.
Thats It

No.. didn't work !!

- My paddle are switch based not resistors based
- I have added VO $7XA to CAS Module
- My EGS module was already set to PADDLE = wert_00
- EGS soft is from 03.2009

(I try to change to wert_1 and wert_02 but DS was no more available)

Still no luck... WTF !!

Could you share your EGS module TRC file please?

this is mine :

I WAS USING V53 DATEN, MY EGS WAS UPDATED TO 2012. WHAT I ALSO TRIED WAS TO UPGRADE MY JBBE TO A "H2" (HIGH2) MODLE FROM A 2011 CAR. THE ONE THAT CAME WITH MY CAR WAS "L1" (LOW 1),

I DID THIS AGES AGO AND IT DIDNT WORK. IT ONLY WORKED AFTER UPDATING MY EGS SOFTWARE TO 2012.

LOOK AT MY VIDEO, WHEN IT GETS TO THE WINKFP SCREEN PAUSE IT AND REVIEW.

Bajan,

do you have push pull paddles? what paddles do you have LCI ones?

was wondering maybe thru coding can you make the pre lci paddles work is plus and minus shifting rather than push or pull each paddle
