Mine's fine except for when it's extremely cold as then the frameless windows squeek a bit on the rubbers, but gummi pfledge fixes that.

My e93 doesn't rattle at all. But then it's only done 3.5k to date! :O
The roof occasionally creates a bit of excess wind noise, but usually fixed by folding and then putting it back.. I think it's just to remind me that I can go topless! |

Only ever had one rattle, the famous rear parcel shelf rattle. That has been a feature of coupes for so long that BMW long ago worked out a good fix which did not involve replacing the parcel shelf. My dealer fixed it 18 months ago and it has never come back.

Wow, this is encouraging. Good to hear the E93 owner with no rattles either. I have an obsessive hatred of rattles and was scared of an E93 because I thought being a cabrio it would be hard to avoid them. Our Z4 rattles more than a branch of mothercare.

My e93 used to rattle lots! Mainly from the roof. Was ok until about a year old and then they started. The glass also rattled in the doors. Add that to a failed steering rack, hp fuel pump, brake servo, umpteen coil packs and injectors, roof shell trims, seat belt, iPod connector, etc and you have a car you can't wait to see the back of after two years!!

I get a rattle from 80mph up from what seems like the unit that houses the interior lights, it only happens at that speed and at that speed I dont fancy trying to stick my ear to the roof to find exactly were its coming from.

My e90 isn't that tight... nothing really bad but there are a few noises from here and there.
Trying not to let it worry me, if I start focusing on them it'll drive me bonkers! I tend to just turn the Alpine up!

Yeh pretty much, although I do tend to take longer diversions to my destinations through newly layed tarmac. Not the cars fault if it rattles, daft councils fault lol

I think if your cars spent a lot of it's time on pothole covered A roads and run on 19" runflats you can guarantee there will be rattles that you just can't shift.

I had a central vent rattle while pulling away with low revs, It was driving me mad til i did a forum search and found that it was coming from the engine cover.
I removed the cover and reseated it and the rattle stopped. |

Had seatbelt arm rattle, fixed under warranty. It's usual to hear more squeeks and rattles when the temperature is so cold. They should all go once the interior is warm.
A BMW tech also informed me that silicone on the door rubbers can also cause noise. |
