380kw 700nm on mustang dyno setting or
509hp 516ftlb Dynojet and virtual dyno sstting obviously inflate the figures. Another person in Australia dynoed his rb evos on e40 and got 502hp and 60Xftlb on 18psi I originally dynoed on a dyno dynsmics snd adjusted the patameters on virtual dyno to mimic results. Ni I just use mustang setting to keep results real/conservative. |

Still getting diff oil spraying out the breather.
Was told to put 2 quartz, 1.8l and it just spills out once i go for a drive. After yesterdsys session doing some launches and 200km runs theres diff oil everywhere on the rear of the car. Ive juyst done a 4th diff oil change and now im down to putting 1.3l in it as 1.4l still sprays out the breather. Not sure Andy the supplier told me the wrong amount or if somethings wrong. Also got a fair bit of very fine metal parts on drain plug magnet again. After 1 or 2 oil changes i thought it would stop. Its so fine its like grease Cars are fun |

Yea the diff has 1/4 inch barb on it and i just put 300mm of vacuum line on it hanging down.
I cant put the reccomended amount in. Ill try 1.3L this week daily driving and see if it spills out. |

A breather would be a good idea to prevent ingress of water especially in that part of Australia where you might encounter deep water and dust particles. Fill with the correct amount of oil. |

Dust and water wont really be an issue its just used at the track. Im daily driving it currently for fun. Putting 2L in the diff causes it to overflow leaving 1.35L. If the diff doesnt want 2L ill give it what it keeps inside ie 1.3L. |

Hey Brule, I saw in your for sale thread that you're going ST. Time for a build thread update (and a thread title change)? Or a new build thread?

Yea doing skids in 2nd gear gets hot after 30 seconds.
Normally easier on a track or drags as it wont overheat but on a skid pan they get hot quick. |

Genuine thermostats have torx screws holding the housing together. The one in your pic has phillips screws (which german cars have barely any of this type). Probably a cheaper aftermarket reproduction and that's why it failed.

Been getting ready for tbe drag test and tune night tomorrow night.
Got the hoosiers put back on after not using the cheapo tyres at the drift night 2 weeks ago. Put new spark plugs in. Oem bosch ones. Never had a missfire in these so i just put new ones ive had for 2 years in. Changed oil as it got up to 120 degrees when the thermostat popped. Changed the do1 nozzles for do3 nozzles for meth injection. Stft are removing fuel now on initial boost and midrange. Hpfp lowest point is around 1900psi then hovers around 2200psi. Wrote down where all my clickers are at for rebound and compression. I need to add a few clicks of compression on the rear and might add sime rebound as i get a bit if wheel hopp when breaking traction. Should be fun. |
