Stressing the Mod bug..
I honestly feel like I've searched the vast ends of the internet and circled it twice. I've been stressing what mods to get and what style and look I'm going to achieve for my car. I've come to the conclusion that with this question answered I "should" be set on a look and start curing this bug that been nipping away at me. I just wanted to set this straight. Concerning rear spoilers, trunk lids/lips. My only options are m3,thick OEM and the mtech, correct? I recall seeing someone doing a mod that made the trunk lid and shaped it so it looked like a spoiler?? Almost like the CSL lip for the e92? However, It seemed was more vertical and I do think it was on either a m3 or an e92. Was I dreaming?? or is there something out there like this?
This is the last thing I really need to look into before I start modding so any help to get me going would be awesome! and desperately needed because its driving me nuts lol The picture attached is my car. I took it this evening when I got out of work. EDIT: Looks like this lip but almost completely vertical http://www.e92-lighting.com/images/cslc.jpg |

I think you're talking about the Amuse Ericsson trunklid. It's hella expensive, like twice what a Vorsteiner would cost you.

Wow! That looks like the trunk I was thinking about. Did some more searches on it and it really seems to be what I imagined. It looks kick ass.. but man 700-800$?? And I'm sure its going to require $$ to install it huh? Also the one I'm looking at on **********s is 700 for a CF one. Would it be cheaper for one in AW?
I don't think I've seen the Vorsteiner.. I'll look it up now. - I will make sure to put one of your shirts on my mod list @ hernandez. Wheels for your LCI? edit:OR maybe a used replica?!?! hmm that would be even cheaper, no?! Are they hard to come by? Last edited by JayAre00; 10-10-2010 at 09:32 PM.. |

That's a CSL lip. Quite large and goes all the way down to below the Roudel. There are similar but less pronounced available for a couple hundred. Check out www.jbspeeed.com

Hmmmm... Interesting stuff.. Really has me thinking now.. CSL Trunk lid does look like the Ericsson one.. Definitely going to have to look at more pictures.. How did I over look this stuff O.o
Edit: Checked out the CSL lip some more.. didn't find it all that appealing compared to the Ericsson one. Mainly because I don't like how it separates at the bottom.. But yeah so are the Ericssons hard to come by ? and are they any cheaper for an OEM paint job instead of CF or are there any reps? Last edited by JayAre00; 10-10-2010 at 10:07 PM.. |
