Hello everyone. I'm an E90 owner but the car I'm waiting for on the Sirius Leader isn't. Anyway, it's interesting news that pre ordered cars have priority one status. Does this mean that all European Delivery vehicles are also priority one?

Since the Sirius Leader landed today (27th), are most of you (priority 1) expecting your car do be ready by early next week? My car still has to be delivered to Oregon. Any ideas how much longer that should take? I'd like to get my car before the end of October, but not sure how realistic that is since I'm in Hawaii.

last friday I was at the dealer, back then the arrival date for the sirius leader was the 28th and the lady told me the car could probably be picked up by saturday. Since it arrived a day early, I wonder if it will positively affect my wait. Probably depends on how busy the VPC is I guess.

btw, i dont think ED cars have priority 1. I'm saying this cause I read a post somewhere by IrvRobinson (i think thats the name), hes a BMW CA and he was explaining how long the cars usually take to get from VPC to dealer. From what he wrote, it sounded like ED cars take longer

I have no idea how long it will take your car to get to you. I'm saying to myself that i wont get my car for another 2 weeks because i dont want to be disappointed again. So it better be here by then or BMW better give me a discount! Atleast they are already paying for my rental car

Especially since you've been renting since August. I'm sure they want to get you your car ASAP. I've gotten contradicting info from the dealer; so who knows. One says Monday; the other says up to 10 days.

Barring an act of God, one thing is certain. It's only a matter of days now.

wow they gave you a rental for 2 months?! how did you talk them into doing that?!

Well its a long drawn out story but i moved from the East Coast to here. I ordered my car 2 months in advance and it still has not arrived. The reason why was bc my car got shipped to the wrong place so they had to order a brand new one and ship it to here. Since it was BMW's fault...my dealer offered to pay for it but i also think it was because my father is one of the owners good friends.

Oh! Another additional fact. My dealer e-mailed me today and said "It should be in port tomorrow and then to your dealer in 5 days". Well the Sirius Leader has already departed but i'll take 5 days

On the DAR, it lists the ETA of the ship, but the Sirius Leader has docked and left already; so either the DAR has not been updated, or he just hasn't checked and is going off the original ETA. It still may be five days, but I'd call him and let him know your boat has come and gone.

I wonder what's going on. BMW Owners' Circle still says car is "en route," but as we all know, the Leader arrived early on the 27th. Shouldn't our cars be at the center by now?

yeah well people were right when they said it lagged 3 days behind. Im getting excited but i hate how i can no longer track it by myself. This is my first time buying a car and they just called me and said they need info for my insurance. Aren't i supposed to have set that up? Is there other stuff i should know or things i need to bring with me to pick it up?

huh? its my first car too, i didn't know they needed insurance information?? I was planning on switching insurance after i get my car... wonder how all that works. hmm

If you have car insurance already, call up the insurance company and tell them you're getting a new car. I'm with Mercury, and they need to see the car; so I just go over there after I pick up my new car and pay the difference in premium.

As for the wait, it's KILLING ME!! I just got back from the dealer, and now my CA is telling me it won't be Monday...Should be sometime next week, could be a little longer depending. Jeez! I wish the process were a bit more precise in terms of time.

That's irritating. Why do they even have this purported tracking capability if the information is either outdated or just plain wrong?

Of course, I'm just speaking from very limited experience. I wonder how many folks have found BMW's tracking ability reliable and helpful....I shouldn't have listened to my CA, who said I have a 95% chance of having it today, only now he's saying it could be another week or two....AND I'M RENTING. Shouldn't have sold my 330 so soon.
