Need some help: is my parking brake engaged?
So background: I have a 07 335 auto. I was going to replace my rear rotors and brake pads. I then find out that I need to completely replace the rotor and not have it resurfaced. My car is in Park and my parking brake is NOT engaged. I go to remove the rotor and it is stuck on. I try everything and then I decided to do the nut and bolt trick. It freed the rotor and I was going to put some anticease on so when I actually get the rotors in, it will be much easier (was already dirty, might as well.) I then try and put the rotor back on and there is a lot of resistance. It just doesn't feel right. It feels the parking brake is engaged but i'm not sure. Here are some pictures. Also, the bolt method looks like it might have bent the metal that the parking brake is attached to?
I'm in the dark. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cars in the air and little stuck. Thanks! |
