I'd have it inspected by a good indi, if it turns out to have something like a gearbox issue, I'd be taking it back and asking for a refund. Especially with an autobox. They can be a real money pit.
Did they not give you any warranty with it? |

No warranty other than paying for a RAC one. I'll have an indy look at it but tbf I find it werid he's accepting a full refund ( I know it's law) but not wanting to fix the fault.

It looks like I may be looking at getting a refund. I plugged carly into the car and the following codes come up
Engine / Motor Fault Code: 004E0F Fault Explanation: Swirl flap, plausibility Fault Code: 004A1E Fault Explanation: Glow plug cylinder 6, control First one I am not too sure about, second one could the faulty plug or controller? |

The glow plug code is almost definitely the controller, again I had the same thing for ages, I would replace that first before forking out for plugs as I would bet that you don't need them. |

Quick update: I returned the car yesterday and got a full refund for what I paid. They wanted to take the car to their mechanic to "inspect" it but got proper arsey when I wanted to come with them, which I ended up doing. I'm off to look at another 325D, hopefully without problems. I've taken carly adapter with me. Everyone who's commented on this thread I owe you all a big thanks and a pint for helping me out!
Cheers Reece |
