http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1238516 I've been on the hunt a while now and the SSDD splitters have been the best fitment. With some glue/tiger seal, you could probably get them flush against the bodywork. Thanks buddy, I love your E90. These splitters would look awesome on your E90, I love mine Thanks Raj |

I collected my trims yesterday and they're still mostly wrapped up. I have to say I'm well chuffed with the finish. Here's a quick pic of how the long trim looks
Looking to get them fitted asap so will post up more pics when fitted. Will be selling off my old trim or I'm thinking to get that hydro dipped too in gloss black/carbon fibre and sell it like that. That way if I prefer the CF I can swap |

Loving the change to the trims will lift that interior no end.

I know what you mean I'm the same with wood trims and would definitely be going the piano black route, but have got to admit I do like the anthracite bamboo in mine as although it is still wood it manages to give contemporary look against the light interior.

The only downside was the 12V compartment/coin tray cover originally had a nice chrome horizontal trim which has now been hydro dipped. They either forgot to mask it or it was too much effort.
I finally managed to get the 2 50p's out that were stuck behind the coin tray and what a difference it's made to how easy the tray opens/closes. I've got to be careful not to let anything fall behind again. |

I seem to be the only person who likes the wood trim.
Personally I think it adds character to the cars but hey. I need that gearknob too, the standard one is naff

In this case, I would say the piano trim looks much better agaisnt the grey interior. |

Then it was a case of prizing out all of the clips and disconnecting a couple of cables. You will need a T20 if you want to remove the CIC controller and T10 for the ashtray if I recall correctly. Quote:
The beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and thankfully, it's not too difficult to change/replace. Quote:
Thanks for your kind comments guys, always appreciated |

Coming back from work yesterday, I could hear a loud rattling/scratching noise. I feared it was one of my front splitters so I pulled over to find the number plate was hanging by 1 screw.
I must admit I love the look of the front end without the plates on Last edited by ahmedb; 05-21-2016 at 10:51 AM.. |

I am pretty happy with how the car sits now and I don't foresee any changes in the near future. I did have a regret with not going for the single stage machine polish when I had the detail done in Feb so I decided to get it done.
I used L.A Detailing in Nuneaton and a bloke named Lee Aucott. He loves Autofinesse which constituted the majority of the products he used. He spent the whole day on the car and only charged £70 (a promotion deal he ran a while back and honoured). This included a full decontamination (the car wasn't too bad off the back of the last detail but there were some bits that had occurred), full clean, single stage machine polish and wax protection. Super happy with the result, most of the feint swirl marks have disappeared and the paint really pops when light hits it. Theres some nice flaking with the paint now. One of the latter pics of the roof looks like there's a scratch but it's just a reflection of something on the roof. |
