Request pics of Wheels, NO drop

Wsup guys. Has anyone upgraded their wheels WITHOUT lowering their
E90/91/92/93)? If so post your pics. It seems like from most of the pictures I've seen posted in this section, the car is lowered. I just want to get an idea if it'll look lame or bearable. If it looks stupid I won't do it. I don't want to do too much to my car since it's going to be leased. By the way I don't have my flame suit on so don't burn me if there's a whole thread on this topic that I happened to miss. Thanks.

It's gonna look ridiculous.

The gap should be about the same as the stock front gap. Even with 19" wheels, the lower profile tires balance out the difference. My front is about a 3.5 finger gap on stock sport suspension.

Which dealership did you place your order at? I'm in San Jose too.

It'll look okay on ZSP or non ZSP, but on Xi, I doubt it.

Thanks for the pics guys. I'm still debating. Hopefully more people post up pics. But from what I saw I think a drop is necessary. But I've seen the style 230 wheels on a stock 335 coupe and I know they're 19s and they look perfectly normal w/out the car being lowered. Optical illusion? I dunno.

I ordered mine from Stevens Creek. I read some posts about how awful they were, but none of them mentioned the guy I worked with. His name is Dale and so far he's been really helpful and nice. I guess we'll see how nice he is when I go in and crunch the numbers. I ordered my car mid August and currently it's sitting at the dock waiting for a vessel. The wait is killing me.

It might look fine on dark cars and hyperblack rims, but else, they look like 4x4s.......

This is the only picture I have stock height with the sports package. I was too embarrassed to take anymore pictures of the 4 x 4.

I don't know if its so much the CA himself but the dealership overall. Don't know how much the manager will budge on offers since they sell a good amount of cars there already. My friend used to work there and he referred me directly to a CA. He even sat with me during the deal. Keep in mind, my friend was working there at the time too.

Long story short, I got a better deal somewhere else without even negotiating.

But hey, that was my experience. Hopefully, yours is different.

What was the final selling price and etc? Financing or leasing?

I don't think its terrible! But I just don't wanna void my warranty with adding some springs or whatever...
BTW, those are 18's.

I've heard that the stock xi suspension is somewhere between a regular susp and a sport susp. Anyone know if that is true? And frankly, I don't remember if that was in reference only to ride quality, or included ride height as well.

And to all that think that it looks like a 4x4: well, it is!!

topher91 - love the painted splitters, where'd you get them?

i dropped my car before I threw my wheels on, after seeing pics of E90s on 19s with ZSP suspension I just couldnt do it. As everyone said before the back looks fine but the front has around a 3 finger gap. What ever happened to the "low" sport suspensions of older generation BMWs (ie E46)?

if you want larger wheels without a drop, go with an 19" Style 230 or other OEM bmw (or replica such as the 19" MORR 162) since they are made to enhance the lines of the car without changing the suspension

Yeah I don't think there's room for negotiation b/c they said they did not know the prices for the 08s at that time and I signed a paper taht I"ll buy it at msrp, so I kinda f'd myself. Luckily there was no price change from 07, but I've been hearing people on here getting at least 500 off msrp. But in my case since i'm leasing, it's only a few extra bucks of my monthly payment so I'm not worried too much about it unless I could have gotten a couple grand off the msrp. I probably should have called around different dealerships, but basically what happened was that I was looking for an 07 335i for about a month and I couldnt find the one with the options I wanted and color combo, and one day Weatherford Bmw in berkeley said they had one and told me it was the color combo I wanted, so after work I drove my ass from san jo to berkeley in the gawd damn 880 traffic and it turned out that it was NOT the color combo I wanted, but she was trying to tell me how it's ok and that it's too hard to get it perfect. I was like WTF???

if I'm going to purchase/lease a 50k car I'm going to get what I want and not settle for anything else. And on top of that she wouldnt budge on the price or the monthly payments even after she's the one that f'd up and gave me wrong information and made me waste an hour drive in traffic. So i walked out and was pissed and I said screw it I'm going to order an 08 and wait for it. So next day I went to Stevens Creek and the rest is history. Sorry for the long post. I'm still disturbed by the stupid lady at weatherford. haha
