2008 328xi Cluster in 07 328xi - can't get straight answer, need help.

As part of my LCI conversion I want to do a new cluster, I like the new needles and tach better.

I found a good deal on a cluster from a newer 328xi with lower mileage so the mileage should update itself.

The question is do I still need to mess with eeprom or just code the vin in KOMBI?

You will still need to recode the eeprom to remove the vin number.
