Changing Xenons to Angel eyes
Hi,
I have a E90 Pre Lci 330i. It came with Xenons as an option. When I look at the light itself it has a angel eye fitment however they're not being lit up and is instead just a pure bright white bulb. How would I go about changing this to an Angel eye fitment if at all possible? Have searched but couldn't find an answer with exactly my situation... Thank you |

I don't recall ever seeing xenon lights here in the UK without Angel Eyes, maybe aftermarket headlights or maybe they have been removed. Could be worth checking to see if the housing looks like its been opened up. |

Don't suppose you have a pic of the Angel eyes lit up (or at least the bulb!)?

Yeah this is what I was fearing.
I assumed Xenon would always be Angel eyes, and I was suprised when I saw Xenon listed as an option. So not sure what's gone on in the cars history! I guess if theres any benefit I should be able to easily fit a new pair of angel eyes as the wiring will all be there... I don't have a pic too hand with lights on, i'll take one this evening though. |

Ok pre LCIs do not have halos as DRLs on the E90s. So halos will be on only when headlights are on. Turn on the light switch to the parking light option and they will be on, that’s one way to check if you have halos.
Btw I can see the halo rings in that pic. |

Cheers for the replies.
Feeling a bit stupid now, I never knew just using the Parking light activated the Halos. However it is very hard to see the halos when the main lights are on!! I've had a parking light warning for ages (CC ID 131) but didn't realise it was the Halos, as you can see in the Pic... Cheers for the replies. Sounds a bit of a pain changing the bulb but guess it will cost a small fortune getting it done in the Garage so I may have to buy some tools. |

Actually you can get the halos to work as DRLs, i.e. on all the time. But they won't be as bright as a proper LED strip based DRL.
