Color Choice? Space gray vs. Deep Sea Blue

I am having second thoughts on Deep Sea Blue with Oyster Dakota.

Might have some time to change the color as car is scheduled for production for week 35.

Some details:

2011 328i Sedan, ZSP, ZPP, ...
Ownership: 3 yr lease

About me:

25 year old professional guy, single, recently graduated from grad school.

Pros and Cons:

Deep Sea Blue will look sporty, so will Space Gray.
Deep Sea Blue is rare.

Space Gray would look more aggressive !?
Space Gray is easy to maintain and does not look dirty with dust. (not a huge concern, I like detailing and a nice clean looking car, will take care of it)

Want to keep the Oyster Interior. Both colors seem to look good to me.
I am in Santa Barbara, so pretty sunny all the time.

any comments and suggestions? What should I do, stick with DSB or go Space Gray? Colors are personal, but this is turning out to be like

Thanks guys!

I have Space Gray and love it because it looks good all the time. However, it never looks great.

If you really enjoy detailing your car, get the Deep Sea Blue.

I had a dark blue Mercedes for my last car, and it really did look great washed and waxed . . . for about 15 minutes.

With Space Gray, my car looks great, even when it's filthy. The down side? If I spend all day detailing it, it looks the same as when I started.

Space Grey! It also shows the lines of the car better. But the advantage of the Deep Sea Blue is that it will look more unique since it is a very rare color.

I'm in the exact same boat... I saw DSB in person last week and it's phenomenal.
However, it's also dark enough to be high maintenance.

I'm probably going to go with space gray (which I think also looks great on an e90), because I know I won't be constantly annoyed with every new rock chip, swirl mark, etc. My SGM 135i is far easier to take care of than my black vette was.

DSB = better looking if you have time to maintain it, Space Gray = lower stress.

If your going to keep it....Deep Sea Blue

I think space gray is a fad, along with black wheels. In the future when people look at the car they will say oh, those flat colors were popular in 2010. I think these colors are out because people are desperate to be different even if it doesn't really look good, and some will always like it but some people liked Piscasso too. No accounting for poor taste.

Deep sea blue is such a sporty/powerful colour (dark blue is the colour of power)

But the e90's space grey is so deep, its gorgeous.

Blue is still the classic BMW colour -- speed, power -- classic.

thanks guys!

The reason I did not order Space Gray was I found it a tad boring, or just too plain sometimes.

I think, though I could be wrong, deeper colors seem to still give the car that newer look over the years, when colors like TiAg would not look so great!

Poll results are interesting though

I would think that the Space and Oyster combo would look a bit odd. For me, Space gray goes well with black, gray or one of the browns (saddle or chestnut) but looks a bit odd with Oyster or beige.
