Add charge pipes so we can see how it runs. Should't take more than a few days.

Cagey/John - this is a prototype. Hold tight for the final product as Vargas will not dissappoint. We've been talking with him and can't be more excited.

Understandably! My bad for taking a dump on the work b/c regardless it's a lot of work to put together a turbo kit and will always be easy to criticize.

Typical armchair quarterback. Yes since my fabricator is on vacation I was tacking with a mig, it is argon shielded but I am not a welder. I am sure he will prob rip it apart when I get back and shake his head. As I said post some pics of your N54 turbo projects love would to see them. This is exactly why you don't other posting pics on these forums til things are done. People like this
Meh, fuck 'em. Keep the pics and updates coming

Same on the abrupt changes/etc in regards to this being a prototype and absolute production level perfection is not quite required yet. He needs to remain focused on some of the remaining problems; like induction/inlet tubes, actuator placement, compressor housing orientation, compressor outlet piping, water pump and plumbing fitments, etc. and then actual real world testing... things such as those are more important than tacks and some slightly undesirable abrupt changes that can be tidied up later.

As for the more expensive, he said he will try to keep prices as low as possible. Some (or alot really) of consumers would be willing to pay for a true twin setup such as this pending results.

Also typically it would be harder to work on, but so far it appears he has something that would not be too complicated as long as the subframe is dropped (which some prefer to do anyway on installs).

It is looking really good in my eyes, just a few hurdles left really.

Rob
Yo Rob, thanks for the nod, we have already done the housing orientation, charge piping is almost done, water pump is figured out, just need to do the water pipe, and actuators. Gonna go with filters on the turbos for the prototype kit because we really want to get it on the road. I shouldn't have even answered the other guy. I just get frustrated. Its easy for people to knock something when they are not building it.

EDIT: this was supposed to read "nod" not "no"

There are a ton of us watching with plenty of interest. Everyone has their own ideas but you are one of the very few doing it. It's a shame that the people with the least amount of useful knowledge tend to be the ones that talk the most.

Plenty of us on here have built their own turbo set up over the years but since we are not the one building this one we sit back and watch hoping it works out for you. Since we know how much work and effort goes into this stuff. It's not simply about knowledge but also common courtesy for other peoples work.

I would have had this thing ready for final welding and installation by the new year but my GF put the brakes on that plan. I was informed I will be taking the weekend and New Year away from the shop..

Those girls... Sometimes, what they say just goes and there's little to nothing we can do about it

Also excited to see that the stage 3 will likely fit the xi. It'll be fun to see how these will do with an AWD car.
