Bay Area Car Audio Installation Recommendations?

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a CPO 2011 335xi sedan with Hi-Fi system.

I would like to upgrade the amp to a JBL MS-8 and add a center channel speaker.

Similar to the Technic recommends:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1001114

I do not have the time or experience to be able to do it on my own.

Can anyone recommend a place in the Bay Area that can do this installation?

Thank you in advance!

LS

Ill leave the shop recommendations to the bay area guys....

Be careful that you take a look at the dates of the old threads you have been (or will be) perusing...the MS-8 stuff is mostly from 5+ years ago....now days the Helix DSPs seem to be the more accepted way to go.

....now keep in mind Ive had an MS-8 for years now, and once I got it dialed it it sounds amazing.....so I wont talk you out of it! Just keep in mind the MS-8 is getting to be fairly old news at this point. And make sure you read the latest on how we got around the dreaded "mid-bass hole" if it ends up being relevant to you.

Now if budget is part of this discussion I suppose an MS-8 can be found for pretty cheap these days so the bang for the buck still makes a lot of sense.

So if get a Helix DSP, does that mean I have to buy a separate AMP?
What would you recommend?

what about the Match PP82DSP?

Simplicity in Sound

Simplicity in Sound.
Bing used to be the editor and chief for Mobile Sound magazine.
He does amazing work but it won't be cheap.
Before anybody does anything you better cross check it here
because there are a lot of shops that don't know how to do
a BMW.

The new Helix products are the bomb
dsp and decent to great amp power all in one.
82dsp 8 channels at 55 watts (much better than the 18 watts of the ms-8)or
the 6 dsp 6 channels at 110 wats plus 8 channels of dsp.

There are several build threads on this forum using these.

There are a lot of us that don't believe in center channels here.
