Dinan Exhaust Released

Just checked the Dinan website and they have released their exhaust. http://www.dinancars.com/Series.asp?...s=42&Model=100 For their sake I hope it sounds a lot better than it looks...

I will hopefully be able to post a video of that exhaust in action later tonight, which by the way sounds awesome! I wouldn't knock it.

That price is not bad considering that it is more than just the muffler. This is an in-house custom tuned exhaust that went through many revisions and testing before arriving at this finished product.

mds82, +1 on that but the good thing is you will not see it that much being that it is montly hidden under the car except the re tips.

Just being honest on the visual aspect of it. no disrespect here.

it doesn't look that nice, but i can't judge it only from the outside appearance only though.... this system might actually better result from the others...

It looks that way because it's custom and mostly hand made. You're going to like the sound.

Just finished video. Uploading it now.

They are mandrel bent. Those photos make the pipes look crimped.

the pedals are the first decently priced thing I've seen from Dinan. By decently priced, I mean only 50.00 too expensive. It's not like there was significant R&D for pedal development....."will not void factory warranty."

I respect Dinan for their R&D and obviously the company has fluorished, but some of the pricing is just prohibitive.

OK, off topic, I know.... The "what do you think of Dinana" thread would have been a better place....

and I agree with esteemed colleagues above... the exhaust LOOKS terrible...who knows how well it works.

That right there is the butta face of the tuning world.

Between that and the home depot intake I'm really starting to wonder. All of their e46 stuff looks nice and polished and well constructed. Why does their e90 stuff look like engineering samples?

maybe 'cause they only have to deal with 1 1/2 yeasr worth of people?

e90's out of production....dwindling market....more time to focus on e92, etc...

I don't feel too bad.... I can;t afford their stuff.

Funny thing is, this time around I can afford their stuff. And was thinking I'd probably stick to them .... just for the path of least resistence with the dealer this time. Pay the big money, knowing that I'm not getting the best bang for buck. But get top notch quality and craftsmanship.

Now they come out with cut-rate appearing stuff. (more refering to the intake, but including the exhaust too).

I mean, really how hard would it be to clean up the welds and polish it up a little?

well, i've only heard the eisenmann race exhaust on the 325i without SR pipes. The Dinan one is louder, but we're comparing 330i to 325i. The sound quality of that video I took is pretty accurate. I'll let you know when I hear the 330i with Eisenmann in person.
