It is incredible what some stupid regulations in the US make to cars.

One is the intake layout, that charcoal filter is not in Mexican BMW's nor in European (because of the difference in the filter layout in Europe), I guess that's why in Europe and Mexico and almost everywhere else the 325i came with 218 hp instead of 215 hp, if I'm thinking correct, those 3 engine hp are lost with the intake obstruction. Also the 330i came with 258 hp instead of 255 hp. (http://www.bmw.es/productos/automovi..._datasheet.pdf)
I really think this is stupid, only in the US the cars get less power because emission regulation and believe me, I don't think that LA hast less pollution than Mexico city or Tokyo or Madrid, so. Anyway, the thing is that taking off the charcoal filter and getting a K&N filter will actually give 3 hp to the engine in the 325 and 330, not 1 hp going to the tires but, improves response.

And the other thing is the damn amber reflectors!, WTF is with those, everywhere else in the world gets white reflectors,... what difference does it make, you only need to see that there's something, and the blinker should blink in any color so you understand that it's indicating a turn or caution, but anyway, I just released all my anger.

I think that all I have to do is buy euros and take the charcoal filter off, spend like 700 bucks and 3 hours of my life to get what every BMW buyer in the world gets instead of what us US customers get.

I know it is a law,... that's my problem. I hate those laws!

It's just a way to express my anger, it's not against anyone nor the US, i just hate those stupid laws.

The three HP difference is because of a different measurement of HP (German horses are different?

not only that, but seems like our us amber thing has invaded our Canadians neighbor as well, Mexico is next on the list.
