Are you fighting the ticket because you were not doing anything unsafe or are you fighting the ticket because you don't want to be hit in the pocket?

Is speeding really a morality call that we tell people to "man-up", "take responsibility for their actions", etc.?

Well in addition to losing time, by fighting you lose the choice of taking defensive driving to keep your insurance rates from going up -- assuming you currently have that option.

Def fight it if there are type-o's, incorrect spelling, etc.
My BF got a ticket for an "improper muffler" (cause apparently it was too loud), the cop dated the ticket with 2007, rather than 2011, why he did this we have no idea lol.
The charge was dropped.

Don't listen to people telling you to suck it up and pay cause you broke the law. That was a couple of years ago when the price was fair. I mean wtf $400 for running a fking yellow light? Yea it was yellow but it was "red for the cop". $25 for a fix it ticket, when all it takes is 1 minute to sign of the ticket. Yea so the state ain't seeing easy cash from me.

Manning up or whatever! There is nothing to lose but end up paying what you would if you didn't try to fight it. So my point is, fight it, the only thing that will happen is you pay up anyway.
Regardless that we know the rules and when we break them, we have to man up but the police also know the rules, screw up the spelling/dates etc... they pay for their mistakes too.

Give it a shot, maybe the prosecutor will give you a plea bargain for a lesser no point charge

For the record my advice was to get a traffic lawyer. They handle this type of thing every day. The cost of counsel will be negligible compared to what your insurance premium will do if a speeding ticket sticks.

I just learned that AAA and 2 other insurance companies I checked with raise rates for having 1 ticket, even with an otherwise perfect driving record. In my case, $300 a year for 3 years.

Total cost of ticket = $300 (ticket) + 3 * $300 (insurance) = $1,200!

You can not fight the ticket because the name was spell wrong, you can not want most ticket on what is known as clerical errors, unless it something as writing the wrong law or something similar but you name wrong they will laugh at you.

Now fight it on the fact they use an airplane, both officers must be present at the hearing in order to win. This is one of the easiest tickets in CA to win. Since there are various law about using the plane.

what clauses would you recommend I use to fight the ticket using the airplane as a defense?
