I received more than a fair deal IMO ($2K off of MSRP). Had to pay enclosed shipping from Miami though.

wow stevens creek giving people a deal?? that's unheard of. Unless you roll up in a nice car and fancy suit that place won't give you any attention. I guess now that the economy has turned for the worse, everyone is opening up with great deals.

I heard that going to the internet sales dept you can get great deals with no hassel so that might be worth a try. good luck

When I bought my car in 2006, I spoke to the internet sale manager, Jimmy Khan. He gave me a deal w/o much hassle really (cuz I done research from this forum before i went in) anyhow, I took my friend to him yesterday so he dealt it straight...i'd say much much hotter deal than I had. You should mention my name 'Loc' and he'll give it a good deal.

most of the time when I car shopping, i'd rather not be noticed till I need something.

Thanks for the replies and IM's. I haven't called all of the recommendations, but as mentioned, there are not a lot of coupes left, and I am still having trouble finding the car and deal on a '08.If the dealer doesn't have it in stock, they really can't help me cause they said other dealers wont give them up.

I think I'll just wait and contact someone that has been recommended and order an '09. The pressure of trying to get this done before the end of the month (.9% financing) is driving me crazy. If August produces the same or better incentives I may continue looking for an '08. Thanks again.

Looking for new '08 335i in NorCal

Interesting thread. I'm in the market for a 335i with a manual trans and sports package. Would prefer a Coupe but it could be a Sedan. I can either pay cash or take advantage of the 0.9%, but of course I want a smokin' deal.

Does anyone know of any NorCal (or SoCal) dealers that are blowing out the remaining '08s? Every dealer I have talked to so far is either lying about the invoice price or is only knocking $2K off sticker. I just want to cut through the BS and make an offer that's IMO a good deal (invoice or below).

And what's with all the private sellers asking low $40s for an '07 Coupe when a new one can be bought for not much more with .9%? Doesn't seem like a good way to actually *sell* a car by pricing it above the market. I'm also seeing used '08s at prices that would make it more expensive than new if I were financing.

Thanks.

For one, take the time to visit a dealer. While there, ask to see the invoice on a car that is similar to the one you want. The Dealer has to show you the actual invoice of the car. Some dealers will print out an document that is similar to the invoice, but it is not the ACTUAL invoice of that car. Also, BMW USA IS CURRENTLY OFFERING TO WAIVE UP TO THREE MONTHS OF PAYMENTS FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES, IF YOU RELEASE. CALL MBW USA TO SEE IF YOU QUALIFY. SOUTHBAY BMW LIED TO ME AND SAID THAT I HAD TO PAY THE LAST TO MONTHS, SO I DID. THEN SOUTHBAY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD PAY THE LAST MONTH AS PART OF MY DISCOUNT KNOWING THAT BMW USA IS WAVING IT. I DISCOVERED THE OFFER AND CONFIRMED W/BMW USA. ALSO, SOUTHBAY WILL HIKE UP OPTION FEES, SUCH AS AN $800 IPOD/USB CONNECTION THAT ONLY COSTS $400. BEWARE AND SHOP ELSEWHERE.

You will never see the real invoice. Sales people don't even see the real invoice. The real invoice you are seeing is almost real, but not.

There's the car business for you summed up in 3 short sentences. Lies upon lies upon lies.

Which dealers have you spoken to? BMW of Fremont is offering invoice on 08's. PM me and if you haven't been there yet; I'll shoot you info on my CA. She's been awesome.

Call Jimmy Khan at Steven Creek in Santa Clara. He'll give you below invoice if it's an auto trans. Just mention "Loc", that's me, and he'll know. :-)

Sorry, minus 1 million for Stevens Creek. Those fools give me the creeps. Of course, your mileage may vary, I'm just one of those unlucky souls that never had a good experience there.

I've spoken to several dealers...I'm ok with getting a Sedan as long as it has the manual trans and sports package. I found two cars that will work, one is silver sedan with sport and premium, the other is a graphite with sport, premium, and nav. $42,500 invoice for the silver car and $44,800 for the graphite. Nobody seems to want to go below invoice on the stick cars.

You can't go below invoice on the stick cars because there is no Option Credit. The Option Credit is for automatic transmission - so a car without automatic has no cash back and would be considered a loser to the store. That is why

Today a dealer (Internet Sales Mgr) told me that in fact the manual trans car does qualify for $1260 credit. I don't know if he's lying, but it doesn't really matter, if he's willing to sell me a car $700 under invoice (he wants $500 for his profit) then I'm good. So right now the worst deal I'm looking at is invoice, which I hear is pretty good for a 335i. With the .9% financing it's a great deal. I plan on getting a car this weekend....

Got mine for $44K out the door with tax title and all other fees. Its MSRP was 45.5K so you figure the deal. I have the sport package, nav, ipod, and a bunch of useless other stuff... +++ 0.9APR with horrible credit I can hook you up with my guy but its in Fairfax, VA. It would be a nice drive back down to FL though You'll get a chance to brake it in.

Score!

OK, I found and bought a car yesterday. Brand new 335i Sedan with manual trans, silver w/ black dakota leather, ZSP, ZPP, ipod adpt, park distance, alum trim. Sticker was 45,650 but was a March 28 build so apparently it's $725 cheaper than the newer pricing. Invoice was $42,588.

Anyway, I paid $41,620+TTT and that includes floor mats, so that's about a grand under invoice. And of course 0.9% 60 months financing.
Out the door it was exactly $45,606.

I really would have liked a Coupe, but in the end it's about the same driving experience and the Sedan is a bit more practical for me.

Thanks guys.

What about MACO and training? Is that captured in the $45,606?

I've never heard of MACO and Training before, so I looked it up on E90 Post. I have my contract right here and there's no mention of it, and thus I didn't pay for it, nor can they charge me for it.

I simply negotiated the cost of the car down from invoice and it was a smooth and easy transaction.

BTW, the dealer was BMW of SF.

Your numbers are wrong. They don't take into account the price increases that went into effect June 1st.

Just figure out exactly what you want to pay and send out emails to every dealer in FL telling the internet sales manager exactly what you want and what you will pay. If you get no responses (unlikely) you may have to up your offer a bit.

Edit: Whoops, I'm a bit late! Congrats on the car!
