used bmw in states

hey all, i was looking at prices in the states.

some 07 coupe/convert. are under 20k

is the used market so low for some and other similar options/milage car can sell for 5-10k or even 20k more? they state no accident, warranty... blah blah blah

A lot of these are scams. Email one of the private parties and you may just get a reply that cries about some hardship selling, out of country etc. Just wire them a "good faith deposit" of 2k and they will fly back from overseas too meet you where the car is in storage. Suuuuuuure. I emailed on one local to me that was 'too good to be true' offer and got that kind of reply. Those Nigerians are getting pretty sneaky

Either that or it's a salvage title.

maybe one of them will ship me the car first and then i can pay

it's just harder to tell which one is a good price/quality and which one is fake.

yeah you need to narrow your standard deviation even when looking at local newspapers in the US. There's an '05 vert in my local paper for 17k, I emailed him and he said he's stationed in pearl harbor, just send him the money. Pretty insane.
