Need any tips on some more 'off the wall' things to do there, not the gamble style trip? I went the last 2 times for strictly concerts and it was a great decsion...teh time before that was MFEST, and it was strictly car stuff and that made it great.

Ive been there over 15 times in the past 4-5 years....way too many times

I hate going to these things. Especially because you have to wait too long in between runs.

Okay, so we wait, but how many runs do you get?

Also, Im down for either this Wednesday or the following one as well, just cant tonight, wont be done with things up this way until after 6.

Alfred...its easy to go to Vegas when flight is $140 or less R/T 5 mins from your house And when you get free/next to free rooms, that helps as well. I just dont go out there to gamble anymore, those days are done with the new limits and games in Blackhawk. They still send me offers though

Well, you alway get 2 test runs. 3rd run is an elimination run so if you run faster then your dial-in, then your disqualified. if your consistant like Matt, then you can win the thing. Since it's probably your first real racing action David, you will probably end up with 3 runs total.

if we do this keep one thing in mind. If you are ahead of the guy you are racing, make sure you hit your brakes before the finish line so you don't "break out". In bracket racing you want to be as close as possible to your "dial in" with out going quicker. So if you sand bag and say you are .5 to 1 second slower than you really run, you will for sure have to hit your brakes at the end.

Bracket racing can be tricky, I used to do it all the time up there with my 66 mustang. Lots of fun. In the elimination rounds the cars start to get knocked out so you get more runs if you don't loose or breat out.
