Speaking of the test day on the 7th:
Different strokes...you don't have to beat on the car all day. But if you're there to test and make changes and test some more it's a way better environment than a standard test and tune. My plan is to go there bone stock and figure out my launching and if I can hit 97mph trap speeds I'll try to get a 13.99. I figure it'll probably take 4-5 runs to satisfy my curiosity in those areas. Then I'll install a Cobb and make a few more runs to see how far into the 13s I can get. I can easily do all that in one day in that environment, where it would take me at least two normal crowded T&T sessions to get the same information. |

I plan to be there on the 14th. Just got the car in January and am excited to see how it does and meet some people. It is a 2007 335xi with stage 3 Dinan, will I need a helmet? I will be driving down from Boulder if anyone else is as well we can caravan.

I haven't seen a stock one break 14.0 yet, but with your mods I'd recommend a helmet. As soon as you make a decent takeoff I suspect you'll be in the 13s.

Any suggestions on where to get a helmet? While I may not have my take off act together this time I hope to use it as practice to get better. Thanks! |

You can also rent a helmet there for $5 if you want. Just bring/get a head sock so you don't have to share head juice with other people....if that bothers you.
Oh, and count me in, though like Matt S. said above, that is last weekend for skiing, so may be a last minute thing. No new mods for me lately except the BMS oil catch can. Hell my car hasn't even hit 40k miles yet after 5+ years |

I also can meet up with you in Broomfield or Arvada too. There is a gas station on Wadsworth and I want to say 24th or so that has 100 octane, but I'd suggest filling up the night before as they don't open early, even on race day. It'll save you a buck or two over the 104 they sell at the track.

Scott, there is a gas station closer to Westminster in Arvada we go to that sells 100 octane. They also sell 104 octane according to Matt. We will all be meeting there to caravan to bandimere.
I will update the first post soon with the meeting time and date. |

Google Maps doesn't show that address correctly - It shows as about a block west in the middle of the street/field. Bing maps shows it correctly if you've never been there and are looking to see the area. /just sayin.

AAI speed equipment has the 104. (google them) You need a fuel can as the do not allow fillup onsite. Only fuel can fillup from the 55 gallon drum

The more I think about it, the more the 7th sounds like a good deal. I'm curious to see what the car puts down stock, what it puts down on map 1, what it puts down on map 5, and what it puts down with some race gas and map 7... Hmmm.
