Did some more.

Just about ready to start.

Need starter motor
Install coolant tank.

Then its just fluids.

Lucky I paid $72 for overnight delivery of starter motor last week.!!
I knew I wouldnt get it over night but should be within 3 days with the current Carona load of parcels.

Getting a bit worried.

It wasn't sent until Tuesday 5pm. im pissed.

Starter is showing its currently in Melbourne.
I will be so dissapointed if it doesn't turn up in time considering I called the company and paid excessive amount to get it here.

Car is ready to go.

all wiring is plugged in just need tbe starter, hook the battery up and start tuning

Lets hope they are right Brule. Since, it is coming from Melbourne, hopefully, it doesn't have to undergo 14 days quarantine before they deliver it. We all want to see your car on the track flogging everyone else.

After pulling the engine after the starter failing getting it all back together and still waiting for the starter im just about broken.

Tears will be flowing if the starter doesnt show up today. Tracjing still showing it at corona ground zero melbourne.

If the gear boot has the plastic shroud at the bottom that snaps into the console bit ill buy it. I made a leather boot and made a base but it doesnt fit 100% i to thr console.

Starter motor did not turn up.

I am annoyed but I have not given up on racing Sunday.

I pulled the staryer apart and found the brushes were 99% gone.

Cleaned it out put it together and it worked for 1 second. Im goung to get power tool brushes, grind them to fit, solder the earth cable and hope it works.

No worries. I just paid $72 for overnight shipping and its been over a week.
I might pay regular postage and get the gear boot within 3 days.

Heres what a starter looks like on the inside.
Dirty as but pretty simple inside.

Put the original starter back in with new brushes. Hand made and soldered Makita brushes.

Put it on and it still doesn't work.
I believe its the trigger on the starter or my jump box didnt have enough power. Car battery was down to 4.8v.

Ill keep trying tomorrow.
So keen to roll race.

Video of work done today. Warning has sad ending.
