Revival: OP is MIA so I'm going to dive in doing this same setup. I've waiting to get a CAM that connects wireless to my phone or so to view videos and unable to find one.

Sorry I've been dealing with other car issues, I'll try to get something posted soon. Reason why I haven't posted something is that the mount is relatively crude and I've been meaning to revise it to something a bit more sophisticated and DIY worthy.

The car or the dashcam? Car, I got a bit too tail happy this past weekend in the canyons and broke my tension strut in two. Good thing is, dashcam performed flawlessly and now I have beautiful footage of me swearing while plowing into a huge rock.
The mount works great and keeps the camera in frame, but it's basically a ziptie tying a clip with a piece of a credit card cut out. I'll probably just show what I have and people can follow or come up with different ideas.

Hmmm, after reading reviews on the main NewEgg product page, the seller fulfilling that deal (Spy Tec) seems a bit sketchy...

http://www.newegg.com/Spy-Tec

Think I'll just order from Amazon. Prime 2-day shipping and peace of mind are worth the extra $10 to me

You sir have a very valid point. Amazon is the way at this point.

See post #338. One way to do it, press foam into the mirror housing for a snug fit, then run the PCB into the overhead light module and heat sink there? Foam should shock-absorb too so no shaky video.

Did you need to use a lens extension cable for your Mobius?

No I did not. You can see in the picture without the covers that it's long enough.

Sorry guys I know I've been lagging, lots of other car stuff to deal with. It's now 95% reliable and I'm pretty happy with it. I took some pictures and will put something together shortly.
