Yes. Go into the vehicle menu, select vehicle order then select edit.

check the 6NF checkbox then save the vehicle order to CAS & FRM.

Default code CIC & combox.

Default coding can be done by going to that ecus menu, selecting coding, then clicking tools then "Default Code". Alternativly you can go to the vehicle menu, select Control Units, then pick the ecu and click default code.
Awesome! Thanks very much for the guidance and great app!

I am headed over to cruise the north Georgia mountains and may try to code this in the morning before I head out.

Anyone else unable to get this to connect to their car? I've been trying since the app was launched with no success with the following setup:
Bimmergeeks Cable
Generic OTG cable
LG V400 tablet

App downloads from Playstore and opens on tablet just fine. Further, it downloads additional files when the app opens for the first time. When trying to connect to the car it says that the car is not recognized. Car is a 2011 E90 335i with 6AT.

Tablet and cable combo works with MHD, XHP and Carly. The Bimmergeeks cable works just fine on my windows laptop to run the BMW suite of diagnostic and coding tools: INPA, NCS Expert etc.

Anyone have a similar issue? Any ideas?

If you have another Android device; I would try installing Protool on it and give that a shot.

Not sure that all retrofits can be coded or not, I'll let the experts talk about that.
But I have done folding mirrors retrofit, heated steering wheel retrofit, and trailer hitch module on X5 yesterday.

Mention what you're looking for will help someone tell you if you can or cannot with Protool

For anyone having the same issue, Protool performs 3 steps when you swap a battery.

1. Code the battery type and capacity to the CAS.

2. Reset the histogram to refresh and restart historical charging data.

3. Register the battery to reset certain adaptations and store the value for ourselves, dealers and other scan tools to see.

Being that we do all of this in one click, if you don't have your ignition ON, with engine OFF(rpms should be at zero with your "service engine soon light illuminated"), step 3 will fail.

We'll add some alerts in app. Until then just make sure engine is off and ignition is on when performing battery swaps in app.

thanks for the support.

I replaced my battery with a new one, but the low battery indicator still comes on. Is the low battery indicator still coming on because I didn't register the new battery?

How many belts does an N55 e90 have? I see one belt in the front and it's still attached.

Another odd thing, my car is overheating out of the blue. I was thinking it was the waterpump at first, but because of the low battery I was thinking maybe the culprit was the batter not delivering enough voltage to the waterpump for it to operate normally. (I read somewhere on one of the bmw forums that a dying battery can cause the waterpump to not work properly, not sure how true this is). Regardless, my new battery didn't solve my low battery warning and still overheating.

I thank you for your insights and help.

I think it's delivering 14+ volts. I've had the low battery indicator for a while now, and when I last checked the reading it was 14+. The car with the old battery would have died months ago if the alternator was bad, no?

Could a bad alternator/dying battery lead to overheating. Or am I just unlucky and have 2 problems.

My car is a 2011 BMW 128i. I have coded a few things already, but having an issue I can't get sorted.

I just upgraded my factory halogens to Depos V2 Angel Eyes. I have searched everywhere including the net, but have not been able to configure them as daytime running lights when the light switch is in "auto" or all the way to the left. I have accomplished having it setup so that they come on when the park lights are on without the corners like Euro-Style lights....but not without having to turn the switch to park.

When I set it to use the angel eyes as DRL's, it immediately turns my high-beam halogen light at a lower voltage back on which I had turned off with the "stalk" since I don't have I-Drive.

Is it possible with this tool? I've already coded a few things with success, but can't seem to get this one part down.

I guess I could always just flip the light switch to the park position, but have seen others that had that feature without having to do so.

Maybe the depos rings are wired into a different feature although I've tried corner lights and turn signal lights to see if that may affect them.

Thanks for any guidance.

Does the K+Dcan work with smartphones? I'm assuming one would just need an adaptor and it would be more reliable than a bluetooth connection?

Can you confirm if it can code +SPBR (for the BBK)? I've asked elsewhere and the response was "no". If not, can this be added?

1. Edit the vehicle by clicking Vehicle -> Vehicle Order-> Edit. Then just click the SPBR checkbox, click Actions->Save then save it to CAS & FRM.

2. Code the DSC using the new vehicle order you just edited and saved by clicking Chassis menu-> DSC -> Coding-> Tools-> Default Code. Select either CAS or FRM (Doesnt matter which you picked, as you saved the change to both at the end of step 1.)
I just tried this and at the very last step where you said “select the CAS or FRM” I got a message that said “coding error” no matter which I picked. I tried several times.

I do see +SBPR now showing in the vehicle order once for CAS and twice in the FRM.

Is there a menu location to check and see if the SPBR coding worked?

Message us on FB, we can sort it quickly. Whoever's handling PM via FB at the time can assist.

Yes, android only. Just need an OTG adapter. As far as ProTool, we develop all functions on BT first, so its every bit as reliable as a cable.

Do you ship out same day and on weekends, how quickly would I get the BT if I order today? Shipping to cali

Had already coded DVD in motion and a few other small things. My car is a 2011 E93 with combox and 6fl. Today I coded in bluetooth music and phone, which I did not have, and BMW assist with text messages and email function as well as internet tethering. Everything is working well, just haven't had time to figure out the tethering to my note 9 yet. In short, changed VO's, build date to 03/11 and default coded cic and combox. I was having an issue getting things to stick using the bluetooth OBD2 module, but switched to the Bimmergeeks cable and all was good!

The more I use Protool the more I love the app and find it easy for a novice. Great work Bimmergeeks!

It is from Bimmergeeks. I got it and their cable at the same time. I have always had no issues with the B/T, but today I switched to the cable after trying to default the combox didn't take. Not saying it wasn't a glitch, or user error for that matter! Just getting into some of the higher level capabilities of Protool.

I just bought my new to me E90 2007 328i. My first BMW. I am kind of excited and it drives nicely.

I installed LED for low beam, high beam, some interior and license plate.

Can the Pro Tool code to not check all the bulbs?

I have LED high beam (DRL) and it will turn on for about 30 seconds after the car is started. The high beam won't work until the next time I restart the car and only worked for about 30 seconds as DRL.

I am hoping to code it so everything works and there is no error on the dash.

I have an LCI E90 and never changed to LED bulbs, but I have seen the various settings to disable bulb check. Never tried it because I never nedded it, but it should all be there to disable the checking.

As for the issue you describe, sorry I have no idea. I doubt that's a coding issue.
From my understanding, the disabling of bulb check is to prevent the flashing of the LED lights.
