An accident waiting to happen, looking up at the NAV screen all the time, when you bring your eyes back on the road, the traffic's stops, you rearend someone.

HUD what you want with gives you NAV on the windscreen, no need to take your eye off the road.

Its OEM, I have HUD in my X5's since 2007, find it very hard to drive a car now without it now!

I'm sure HUD is great. What product do you recommend fbose use to retrofit HUD Navigation capability into his/her 2006 330i instead of this device? Does any such product exist?

fbose; I'm not familiar with the product itself, though if the touchscreen requires much pressure at all you might be constantly readjusting the mirror every time interacting with the nav unit throws it out of alignment.

Thats a good point. I was quoted 5Gs for an OEM retrofit CIC nav with my car not having idrive. A little steep IMO. I think if I will go that route, I will just trade in my car for a LCI 328 with Nav although I looked at the LCI 328s even the ones with sport package, my 2006 330 still looks more aggressive to me. It even looks a bit bigger.

Yeah, trying to retrofit factory Nav into a non-iDrive car isn't a fiscally wise decision; if it's a must-have then make sure it came that way from the factory.

I don't know the 330, but you might check with Crutchfield.com to see if there's any sort of aftermarket in-dash nav upgrade you can do. They're not the cheapest place on the Internet but they have great customer service and tons of info on what can and cannot work for various cars.
