Car shaking/missing
Anybody help I've got a 320d n47 engine I've changed the glow plugs as I had a code come up but since changing the glow plugs I've cleared the codes and now when the car has been left overnight I got to start it and it shakes/misses for a few seconds then everything is fine I've checked for codes and haven't got any any help much appreciated

Yup. Glow plug failure by the sounds of it.

Changed the controller last week. Cold mornings it's still smoking / shaking for 20 seconds, no error codes like yours. Injector 2 takes a good minute to stabilise down to a suitable level on INPA I've noticed. Guessing it's lazy / on it's way out. It's strange when the temp is over 10 degrees it starts perfectly though |

You could try some injector cleaner too. Hasn't really made much difference to mine tbh. What mileage are you on? |

When I had my Z3 which was an E36/7 I had to use a combination of E36, E39 and E85 to find all of my modules. |

On my software (6.0.1) I can find the N47 engine under E87 1 series.
Unfortunately, to give detailed guidance I need to connect to the correct DME and I do not have one since my car has an N54 engine. If you go into the N47 DME and hook up your car you should be able to see somewhere live inputs to the ECU from various bits and bobs. Just run through the available menus but make sure you have a good charge in your battery as these cars can soon discharge a battery when "playing" with INPA. I usually connect a battery charger to the jump start terminals under the bonnet if I am running diagnostics with the engine off but having said that if you want to see live inputs you need the engine running anyway. It is sounding like maybe you have a leaky injector but that is an expensive route to follow unless you can confirm one of them is at fault. |

You could take the spark plugs out after the car has been sitting over night, if any of them are wet with fuel then you have an injector issue.
But as Senny pointed out it's a diesel so you can't take the spark plugs out
