BMW Performance Engine Tuning Kit for 320d
Has anybody got knowledge or had fitted the BMW Performance Engine Tuning Kit shown on the BMW website for the 320d engine?
http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/owner/acc...uct=drivetrain I'm looking at possible improved performance on my 320d (184bhp) Cheers |

If you search there are a few threads ... people who have had it done - all seem really happy ... but I am sure they had it done on the 177ps engine - not that I reckon you would be any less pleased.
Costs a lot if you have an auto as they replace the torque converter. My quote for a 320d 177 was over £3,000 so I got a 330d instead |

DMS are very good but very expensive. Emaps are also very good and reasonably priced. There are loads more recommended by others but I can't remember them all. |

Depends on the age of the OPs car though. If it's fairly recent (like mine) then OBD remaps aren't available. They can map if the ECU is physically removed from the car but that's not an option I've liked the sound of. Tuning boxes are available but I've never fancied one of them either.
The BMW option is expensive but additional/replacement hardware is involved too and obviously has the benefit of no one batting an eyelid when it's service time. |

I would get it. Costs the equivalent of 2500 quid here for the auto. Last edited by akshay1234; 06-29-2012 at 09:22 AM.. |
